Oh my gosh the movies are SO GOOD!! you have to see them... but I think Spirited Away is the best of all of Studio Ghibli's movies. Probably cause that was the first one I ever saw, and I fell in love with it ;)

I watched Spirited Away and Ponyo but not the other two. I've also seen My Neighbor Totoro and Arriety but Arriety I didn't like as much.
I loved the scenery, the feeling of being small. Seeing the world from the size of a thumb was surreal.

I don't watch or read a lot of Anime...
I don't either. I've only read/watched/LOVED InuYasha. I haven't really found other ones that interested me. I vaguely remember watching Cardcaptor Sakura when I was younger as well. Apart from that, nada.

I'm not really a fan of fanfic in general. Some of them I just don't agree with (ie ships, etc). I have read some really well written ones (esp the Sherlock fanfics) but I don't like to read it, if I can. I usually end up with heart burn and too many feels afterwards... :P
Fanfiction is pretty much what I read when I need to numb my brain. The Hetalia universe is especially bad for it. :) I have, for example, read some amazing work but usually they're crossovers.

Oh yeah, definitely. People come up with the most unbelievable cross-overs but I just don't like to read fanfic. The ones I do read are few and far in between. I need time to calm myself down.

nope, my older brother and sister tried to get me too, and i can't stand cartoonish looking characters. I hardly watch movies or tv as it is :/
It's fine it's a joke. I can't make myself watch it either right now but it does confuse you into taking the edge off your own boredom subconsiously because it's so... Well, itself, of course.

I really want to watch anime but I'm in a zone of angst and don't know which one. I think I just need to wallow in my own misery for a little while longer. ^^'
my recommendation will be either code gease or gundam 00 for action, comedy will be infinite stratos or maid guy, maid-sama or D.N.Angel for romance, and Sword art online for a little bit of romance, comedy, and lots of tragedy
