Yeah!...I'll go with all of you to England!...my first trip out of the country( and also I might get an accent along the way :D)
As I am Canadian, I don't know what you're talking about... Can I still move to England anyways? Then I can drink tea and get a cool accent...
Haha some of his points are good, but others make me so mad, like how abortion is only allowed in cases of rape and incest (even though i may bot agree with abortion, i think it still should be the persons choice) and how he doesnt think gay marriage should be allowed, and that his tax policy, i could go on and on
xD I'm sure we could blend in. As long as we praise the queen and talk about tea and biscuits every five minutes we should be fine ^__^ Just Kidding... Maybe we could take classes on "How to be a British Person" :D

It's your turn to go in two truth and a lie.

Rose wrote: "wait...what is banned book week?""Banned Books Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates the freedom to read, draws attention to banned and challenged books, and highlights persecuted individuals. The United States campaign "stresses the importance of ensuring the availability of those unorthodox or unpopular viewpoints to all who wish to read them" and the requirement to keep material publicly available so that people can develop their own conclusions and opinions. The international campaign notes individuals "persecuted because of the writings that they produce, circulate or read."
Well there will different options but Michele(Kevinjonaslover) wants to read that one, so the two of you can be buddies (:
Oh! I have the Perks of Being a Wallflower just sitting around waiting to be read. I got it for Christmas but still haven't read it yet. I usually NEVER leave books sitting around.
Ok, I still have to finish some other books so it might take me a couple of days to start Perks of Being a Wallflower. It looks like a pretty short read so that will be a nice break from all the thick books i've been reading lately.
Rose wrote: "ok....good then... no more worrying if I can finish 600 pages in 4 days"Ooh! I did something like that once... Well actually I read the Harry Potter series in a week, but that was over March break and I had nothing to do... Still similar though... Sorta...ish...
Grrrr, American politics. I hate to disagree with anybody but the Republicans give me very little choice. It's like a fantansy world secluded from the US. A whole black box of it's own.Six hundred pages?! You should finish my book for me! War and Peace is not an easy read.
War and peace is difficult to read because there's such a vast number of characters to keep track of with last names and no exact main character at every given page.Come to think of it, reading it in Russia would be much more difficult given that you'd be dealing with three names and maybe even pet names.
My literature teacher was actually just talking about War and Peace...she was like has any of your relatives or parents read War and Peace...and all the students are like....maybe?
Is War and Peace that bad? I figure I should one day read it... Haha my class (at least from wha I know about the people in my grade in general, since I don't know who's in my english class yet...) would be like "O.o What the heck is War and Peace???"
It's ok, a bit like a high compact soap opera. If I didn't know the history behind it I may or may not enjoy it more. So far I've had to read through numerous fancy dinner parties that all include more then one ceemya of backstabbing, rich gossiping disaster. I can't stand the rich in this book, they've humanity but they're also so blind. One man proclaimed 'Any old fool can beat Germany'. Luckily this is only the first chapter/book of the whole. Thoughts on Bonaparte will change quickly with time.

Even better XD 'Who the Heck is War and Peace?!'.
Tasha read the Phantom of the Opera and said she liked it but didn't love it...also she read Animal Farm
Rose wrote: "Tasha read the Phantom of the Opera and said she liked it but didn't love it...also she read Animal Farm"I plan to read those as well (:
But I think I read Animal Farm a long time ago...I don't remember it much though.
It's literature, something to get sucked into (like a vacume!) but not something you necessarily love. It's there to make you think, to make you see.Animal Farm should get you started then. It's about Napoleon as well, no?
I saw phantom of the opera at a book sale this weekend! ^-^ I was about to buy it but I wasn't sure. It didn't catch me... plus it was in french.
There are so many books I plan to read... Just as long as it's not a horror story... I hate those... They freak me out for weeks...

haha...that is what my older brother and sister are like....when Megan( older sister) and Cody( older brother) were talking about what books they read in high school they were like "I remember that book!...Well, I remember liking it alot at least"....They are trying to get my to read the Wheel of Time series....but I dont think I EVER will since every book is 800 pages long and it has 13 books in the series.

I usually love and remember all the books I read in school but for some reason that one and The Diary of a Young Girl, I can't remember much of.
:O Whoa!! That is a loong book/series!! XD Did they think it was great?
As do I but I fell out of it for quite a while. Practise is the only way to bring back the good memories of reading Harry Potter until my eyes burned all those years ago. Tolstoy is a heavy writer and has many truths. Anna Karanina for example ends in suicide. He's amazing at character dimension without having to spend too much time.
Has anyone here read Lord of the Rings?

>.< Why did you say that!!!
Yeas, I love it. I am reading The Return of the King right now.
I've never read the Lord of the Rings... In Gr.5 I read the Hobbit, and I've been meaning to read tLoR ever since...
