Has anyone played the Harry Potter version of "Clue"

I love "Clue" and I love HP--am wondering if the combination is any good? The gameboard looks neat, and I like the concept (crimes being done with spells and all) but I wonder if it's like traditional clue in that, since the players are Harry, Ron and Hermione, among others, Harry could actually be the accused? That seems a bit disturbing!!!

Haha! I just saw this on Amazon! I wondered the same thing. Awesome and yet... :\ ????I could see if you were accusing a Malfoy, or Voldemort or something, but that would seem wrong to accuse Ron or Harry or Hermione!
I LLLLLOOOVVVVVEEEE Clue! And I had recently saw this game on BN.com. I was also wondering how the game goes? Do you murder people or what?
I just ordered this game for my husband for Christmas, maybe now he will love Clue as much as I do!

So we just played this game last night. It is very different from the regular Clue. You have to learn a few more things.. like you get a certain number of gallons and if you lose all of your money then you are out of the game and you have to show everyone your cards. Also you don't suspect each other so no one can pull you out of a room by suggesting you did it (you are the good guys and the suspects are the bad guys). You need to collect these help cards in order to not lose all your gallons. I still enjoyed it though but you have to play with a group who wants to play. I don't think my family was really into it. Oh and instead of passing out all the cards (with the suspects, weapons and rooms) you pass out an even number and then any left you put in the middle of the board. Well then at any time of the game you can head to the middle of the board and look at those cards so of course everyone heads there first so they are not at a disadvantage of not seeing those cards so that was kinda dumb I thought. I don't know if anything I wrote made sense but I would give the game a B-. Original Clue is better. Speaking of.. has anyone played the revamped version of Clue?

Your review was really helpful and revealed some of the things that I didn't quite get just from seeing the game in stores (i.e., that Harry, Ron, Hermione are not suspects as in original Clue!) so thank you!!! I received this for Christmas, but haven't played it yet. I have a family of HP fans, but they might still be too young to play. Maybe we can simplify it.
There were a few things I saw that you could leave out of the game, for example not using gallons might help younger kids play.
