I'd like to get reviews of the first two (unedited) chapters of my completed novel. It goes out for full editing next week. Those who review will be gifted a copy after the editing process is complete. Below is a brief synopsis. I you are interested in reading and reviewing let me know. Thanks ~ Christine

Tittle- When the Heart Lies

Annalise Hollander’s married to Liam Hollander. At the altar, he’s the man of her dreams. A charming, handsome, corporate lawyer who has women at his feet, and the world at his disposal with the utterance of the Hollander name. But being a beautiful, socialite wife, doesn’t fill the emptiness that plagues Annalise. In it magnifies it. In a state of self-doubt and fear, facing the issues that have weakened her defenses and resolve are over whelming. Her marriage appears to be lost for good.

She’s primed and ready for the manipulations and sweet talk of a man twice her age who befriends her on the internet. She travels from New York to Florida with her three-year-old son, to live with a man she’s never met. The sweet talking man isn’t at all what she’d hoped. Manipulated by her new circumstances, she wakes up three months later to find herself in a luxury treatment facility in Florida. Sent there for no apparent reason, she meets, Jake, the PI hired to secretly watch and protect her and her son. When life in Florida turns both dangerous and tragic, she finds the strength and courage to overcome her fears, her past, and her future with a new found honesty. She’s ready, but Jake, a man she could truly love, would never understand. She’s convinced she must keep him far away from the twisted past she’s lived. She’s determined to get her son home, to NY, to his father, and fix the life she’d always dreamed he’d live. That would be enough for her.

Missy LaRae (missylarae) | 1 comments This group is great!

I would love to gift a copy of my novel The Sword and The Prophet to anyone interested in an ebook for review.

My novel is intended for a middle grade audience and on up to adult. It is the first book in the science fiction Children of Syren trilogy.

Here is some information about my book:

The Sword and The Prophet is the story of Lily and Tyler, twins who are raised in an abusive home in Orlando, Florida. The beginning of the book starts with their escape from their mother’s home, and the ensuing pages will keep the reader totally engaged. The first person narrative of Lily draws the reader in immediately, and you can’t help but be drawn in to the story of these two children.

What people are saying about The Sword and The Prophet:

“Book 1 in the Children of Syren Series lays a wonderful foundation for following books. Your world of Amatia Prime, Earth's twin, where women and children are revered and the beauty of life and nature is appreciated is fleshed out and easy to envision.... It isn't the ordinary YA novel peopled with vampires, werewolves and angels. It has a very unique plot and a strong storyline. I can't wait for the next installment, The Prophet of Dreams.” 5 Star review from Leslie C. Ferdinand, Amazon.com

“I didn't know anything about this book when I started reading it. I went in completely blind and not only did it draw me in very quickly, but when we got to the first twist in the story my jaw dropped. From then on, I could barely put it down. Finished it in about a day. I found the characters really engaging. Like all the best sci-fi, it's driven by the characters and the story, not the "special effects.” (Can you say that for a book?)” 5 Star review from Lorskyfink, Amazon.com

“I started reading this book, not knowing quite what to expect. Within the first chapter, I was hooked. This is a story that readers young and old will enjoy. I would gladly give this to my kids to read, no matter the age. Try it with yours. It'll keep them engaged for hours. But, read if yourself first because they won't give it back until they're done.....You won't be able to put it down until you get to the end. When you do get there, you're going to ask where is the next book by this fresh engaging new Author?” 5 Star review from James A. Eggebeen, Amazon.com

JoAnn Hague (JoAnnHague) I am looking for reviewers of my ebook. I'm JoAnn Hague, author of DANCING THROUGH FIRE, an ebook published by Tuesday House: http://www.amazon.com/Dancing-through...

DANCING THROUGH FIRE is a carefully researched account of the events from 1775 to 1782 which culminated in the massacre of more than 90 Christian Indians at Gnadenhutten in eastern Ohio. All historic events are actual, and all secondary characters are real.

Although fictional, the novel's main characters are accurate depictions of Indians and Moravian missionaries of the Revolutionary War period.

Preview DANCING THROUGH FIRE by going to its Amazon site and LOOKING INSIDE to read the first 3 chapters. Then, if you are interested in reviewing my novel, please contact me through Goodreads.

Many, many thanks!

JoAnn Hague

Hi, Lucy... Interested in trading reviews? I'm also looking for reviewers of my novel DANCING THROUGH FIRE. Mine also is literary, but many see the romance element as primary. I won an OHIO ARTS COUNCIL FELLOWSHIP GRANT IN CREATIVE WRITING for it (that's the literary part). I was attracted to your request because the literary/romance element might parallel my novel's content. DANCING THROUGH FIRE,though, is a historical novel set between 1775 and 1782. I would, of course, GIFT you a copy of the novel, now on Amazon, should you be interested. Thanks!

Lindsey Parsons (lindseyjparsons) | 10 comments Vortex Return of the Effra Vol. 1 by Lindsey J. Parsons
Hi,
I am looking for reviewers to review my novel, Vortex, Return of The Effra book 1, please. It was released on Kindle on 20th June 2012 and will be released as a paperback mid July. Vortex is a fantasy romance aimed at older YAs.
Synopsis:
On a night when prophecies stir, an outraged dragon vents his anger, Damian is ripped from everything he knows and Sam's nightmares become real...

Sam isn’t enjoying university life, she’s disillusioned with her course and having second thoughts about her future. It doesn’t help that she keeps having a scary, recurring nightmare and when she thinks things couldn’t get worse a creepy man follows her back to her room.
Damian is unique, he has silver eyes, horns and wings, he is also being visited by a ghost girl. She looks so sad and frightened he feels compelled to help her, but the night he reaches out to save her from a dragon’s fiery breath he gets ripped from his life, his world, from everything he knows.
Now it’s Damian who’s lost in an unfamiliar world that’s devoid of magic and full of strange monsters. His only connection with home is Sam who he recognises as the ghost girl. Sam has to put aside her fear and disbelief in Damian’s explanations about himself to try and help him find his way home.
But in a world without magic is this possible?

If you would like to review Vortex for me please email me at lindseyandco@btinternet.com and I will send you a .mobi file (Kindle copy) or PDF Sorry I haven't got it on any other formats at this time.
Thank you :)

Elias Barton (eliasbarton) | 2 comments Above the Universe Below by Elias Barton will be enjoyed by those who like unusual tales with a heartbeat. The lead character is a fractured guy who has learned to survive through art and his experiences in another realm. If you enjoy tales of survival, family secrets, hope and the occasional otherworldly creature, you might enjoy this!

Above the Universe Below was a two-time semifinalist in Amazon.com's Breakthrough Novel Award and garnered a review from Publisher's Weekly saying it was "brilliant writing" and "an unusual and beautifully written book."

It's walks the tightrope between literary and fantasy, with some romance, some death, some teeth and tentacles and lots of soul.

Let me know if you're interested and in what format (either EPUB for Nook or MOBI for Kindle)you prefer to read the novel and PLEASE be willing to add a review. Feel free to do that here or email me at eliasbarton [at] gmail [dot] com!

Preeti Gupta | 4 comments Hi - I've gotten such amazing support from everyone at Goodreads, I love this site! But we nonfiction writers / readers are not part of the popular crowd as much. So I'm looking for a few more people who would enjoy reading a nonfiction, sometimes humorous book on agnostic Spirituality. You can learn more at the website, www.3ChipsOnGod.com.

I am more than happy to send a print copy to anyone in the US, my only request is that you review it relatively soon (by end of October, first week of November if possible). The problem is I gave alot of copies away and well meaning people are intending to read it but I would love to have reviews while the book is still hot and newly released. Or, I'm happy to give anyone an ecopy (www.3ChipsOnGod.com/ebookGR) and you can take your time on reviewing it or decide not to if you read a few chapters and decide it's not your cup of tea.

In return, I'd love to reciprocate in any way I can. I love nonfiction, historical fiction, memoirs, and stories based on real life. I can read 2-3 books a day, so I'll turn around anything you send me very fast. I'm happy to post a review for you on Goodreads, Amazon, B&N, whatever you'd like. Or, if you want me to link to your blog, I can do so from my website (go to the News tab and you'll see other bloggers who have interviewed/reviewed me to whom I've linked from my site).

Thank you for taking the time to learn about 3 Chips On God, and I look forward to your feedback!

Regards,
Preeti

D.R. | 3 comments Hello All!

Looking for reviewers for my debut work, the horror comedy book "Shakespeare v Lovecraft"! Blurb:

“We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”

William Shakespeare

“In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.”

Howard Phillips Lovecraft.

In the same putrid vein as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Shakespeare v. Lovecraft slithers hideously onto the literary mash-up scene, whispering of cosmic horrors and eldritch tales whilst espousing sweet soliloquys and profoundly contemplating mankind’s place in the universe.

Prospero, driven dangerously insane by prolonged exposure to the dread Necronomicon, makes a terrible pact with the titanic alien beast known only as Cthulhu. Now only his enchantress daughter Miranda and a handful of history’s greatest heroes are all that stand between humanity and blasphemous eternal subjugation.

It’s a bloodbath of Shakespearean proportions as Cthulhu and his eldritch companions come at our protagonists from all manner of strange geometric angles in a hideous and savage battle for supremacy.

This horror-comedy novella of 36,000 words will seize you in its clammy grip and not release you until you have gone positively mad with delight! Witness all this and more:

Histrionic Heroes vs. Tentacled Terrors!!! Endless Soliloquys vs. Unnatural Silences!!!

Romeo vs. Mi-Go!!! England’s Royal Beasts vs. A Shoggoth!!!

The Author vs. Iambic Pentameter!!!
