BubblesTheMonkey What would happen if, let's say, we put Jane into orbit (just her, no space suit or space ship or anything)? Would she die? Sorry, my knowledge of anything involving space is virtually nonexistent. lol

Richard Of course not, she'd starve to death ;P

Diane Oooh, this is a really good question.

Astronauts need special pressurized suits (I'm not sure what they are called exactly) so that they can breathe, their internal organs wouldn't collapse and so that they won't be adversely affected by the temperature and radiation.

First of all, we know that vampires don't need to breathe. So therefore, they wouldn't die from lack of oxygen.

Assuming that vampire organs are as tough as their skin, I think they should be safe from collapsing organs.

Radiation might affect them, but I don't have any theories to back that up.

There is also a chance that some asteroid or meteorite or whatever hits her. It could be made up of something that is strong enough to seriously wound her (but I have no idea what these things are made of).

Since the fires kill vampires, will the extreme temperatures affect them? Space temperature is enough to make human blood boil, but what will it do to vampires? It would probably have the same effect on the venom-fluids. Would the absence of bodily fluids kill a vampire? Would the temperature possibly ignite them (assuming that there is a chemical in space present that contains oxygen)?
Possibilities.

So I think Jane will most likely die from the temperature. Or maybe by floating towards the sun, lol.

I don't think the Twilight vamps can die from starvation.

Sucks if you're a weakened starving vampire being pelted with meteorites floating around pointlessly in space. lol. xD

Richard I've always assumed that they eat to survive, guess I could be wrong lol

Makes sense, but I guess S. Meyer changed the rules to make it interesting.

Carlisle tried starvation when he was trying to kill himself. But so far I think the only known way to kill a twilight vampire is to tear him/her into pieces and let the pieces burn.

Uditi But in Eclipse Bella did say that she couldn't let them starve so maybe they would become really weak and pale and not able to do much.

how would she get into space anyways?

Spaceship of course. or there is a new vampire with magical bitch-kicking abilities.

I agree with you. I was just wondering because I was stargazing a few nights ago and I just wondered...

Kirby well, I think it made for some very interesting speculation! :)

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles well, i dont think she would die since she is already dead.

ha ha right she is dead she would probally go to the point of dead beyond the point of dead

haha, lol. I'm not very good with outerspace and physics, so I wouldn't know. I'd have to ask a physics professor or specialist.
