I think it would be good if gale came to district 12 and married madge ( oblivously she would have to live through the bombings) and Katniss and Peeta still end up together. Prim survives and ends up with Rory ( I think that gale's oldest younger brother's name) and Finnick and Annie move to district 12. Katniss's mom remarries Haymitch and he sobers up a bit.... not completely....It's fun to wish but I like the original ending as well...(: great series
My Ending: ...It's the old Katniss's favorite kind of day. Early Spring. The woods awakening after the long winter. As I approach the fence I still listen for the hum of electricity, force of habit. I slide under it and just walk to try to clear my head. I heard a rustle not too far away and spin around to come face to face with a familar face. "Gale?"I manage to say. "I thought you were in District 2." "I was suposed to be there but I missed you Katnip." I smiled when he said my old nickname. "I missed you too Gale, but I'm supposed to be with Peeta, if he knew you were here-" He cut me off. "The games are over now. You don't have to please the audience." He was right, I didn't have to fool anyone with our love. But Peeta seemed more than just the boy with bread to me now. But Gale was just....Gale. My best friend in the whole world.It was all so overwheming."I..I don't know," was all I could say.Gale leaned down and kissed me and my world spun. I couldn't focus any more. He drew back and looked me in the eyes. "Did that help you make up your mind?" I nodded and hugged him. "Yes, Gale I choose you." Gale and I had moved into the cabin in the woods where I spent so many summers with my dad. After telling Peeta I had chosen Gale I had never been able to meet his eye. I guess it was better out here, we hunted and gatered berries and rarely went into town. We hadn't had any kids. Life seemed calm, until the day the fence turned on. We were trapped in the woods. On the other side of the fence stood Peeta, he had a wicked grin on his face and he was laughing phycotically. He stopped, looked me in the eye, and said,"Good Bye Katniss Everdeen, and may the odds be EVER in your favor!" He laughed that phyco laugh, pulled out a gun and shot Gale and then himself. I screamed but all I could hear was his laughter echoing through my skull. I was alone with no way out. It's not what you expect and please dont hate.

i think it makes the story interesting that peeta's memories are all messed up. it emphasizes his love for katniss"

Sure, It would have been very sad but it would have made sense.

I love your ending! It really fits in with the story and it´s quite moving
In the book, you totally want Katniss to end up with Gale, but in the movie they are Peeta all the way (Darn you Josh Hutcherson and your cuteness!!) They did chose Sam Claflin as Finnick SO CUTE!!! I did like the ending real or not real thing but i wish it was with Gale!!

if it had ended like that, i would've died!!! YOU cannot end a book series with such a cliffhanger.
This is my alternate ending, but it's more a sort of epilogue. (English is not my mother tongue so sorry for the mistakes)My footsteps echoed through the empty streets. How long had it been? 10 years ? 20 ? I couldn't remember.
My lips were slightly trembling and the words I wanted to say so desperately repeated themselves in silence.
I counted the numbers on the houses, looking for the number 12. With every step I took I wanted to turn back, to run back to safety but I couldn't. Not now I had come this far.
And there it was. As simple as I had expected it to be. A small house between the giants.
I closed my eyes for a second and took a deep breath, the faint smell of pine trees lingered in the air and made my heart ache. Of course.
I walked as slow as possible towards the front door, my head spinning because of the lack of oxygen. My breath escaped between my lips and with a trembling fist I knocked on the door.
What now ?
I knocked again, a bit louder and heard footsteps. They sounded tired and slow, not how they used to be. How they were supposed to be. The door opened with the soft squeaking of the iron and suddenly he was there. After all these years, he was finally there.
His eyebrows raised in surprised, almost vanishing under his wild, grey hairs. The countless lines in his face made his skin look like leather, everything seemed to have aged. Everything except his eyes. They burned into mine, a single tear escaping. No words were needed, even without them I knew that he had missed me as much as I had missed him.
"Hello old friend." My voice sounded stronger than I felt.
"Hello Katnip."
And I fell into his arms. I had never blamed him for anything, and I wished that I had found that out earlier. Because after all that happened, he was my Gale. My partner, my friend, my brother, my soulmate.

Too funny. But more likely than what actually happened.
76th Hunger Games with Capitol's children as tributes would've happened and Katniss will becone the President.

the ending was so bad it was totally rushed. To be honest I didn't really care for Prim. I think in the end Katniss should have lived super rich and famous leading each district fairly. I also think Finnick should have lived happily with Annie

Somewhere one the other side of the wood Andromeda Nicole and Katniss Everdeen were talking about the same thing." Andromeda, you can have Gale i love him but he loves you' Katniss said with tears in her eyes.
