Jim (jimmaclachlan) I doubted they had street cars then, anyway.

How about Amelia Earhart? I know she fits many of the clues. Not sure about some, though. I don't recall anything about how she lost her virginity, for instance.

message 602: by Will (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments Edna St. Vincent Millay? She was openly bi-sexual. I know nothing of a movie or cookbook about her but she was quite the romantic. Just a wild guess.

message 603: by Will (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments Fannie Brice!

message 604: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) That does fit the cookbook!

message 605: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Or was that Fanny Farmer cookbook?

message 606: by Will (last edited Apr 01, 2009 08:28AM) (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments I know nothing of the cookbook. Her life was portrayed in a movie, which recieved some awards, and her personality was over-the-top. She did have a commorative stamp. The rest; I have no idea. I still think it's right. We'll know soon.

message 607: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Brain malfunction. Fanny Farmer cookbook, not Fanny Brice.

I never heard of Amelia Earhart having a cookbook, either. She did have some horrible sinus problems which were painful & her home is a historic place, but I don't know about it being in a capital.

message 608: by Will (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments Okay, I gotta go to work. I probably didn't get it, so no worries. If I did get it, I'll try to come up with something more fun than I usually do...but no anagrams.

I don't think her father was a photographer, either. Taylor fits most of the clues, but not all. Neither did Princess Di or several others I looked at. It's been an interesting search.

I don't have time to look right now. Maybe in a bit.

Yikes! That's the last time I raise my hand in class. I'll let Manuel or someone else go for the next one.

I knew very little about Frida Kahlo's life, but it was the "famous eye brows" that tipped me. Now I need to rent the movie.

That was fun, Manuel!

Will Kester | 1047 comments Famous eyebrows? I guess I missed that clue. I missed most of the final clues, actually, but they probably wouldn't have helped. I looked through all the females who ever had a stamp commemorated to them, except Frida. "Nope," I thought, "Not famous."

Diego I knew of, but never knew he was ugly. Will's rules: All guys are ugly; all girls are pretty.

Oh, okay; Manuel can have another turn. I admit, it was kinda fun.
