Jim (jimmaclachlan) You got it, Marco. Good thing too, because that last clue was practically a give away. Which search engine indeed!

message 566: by Will (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments I am almost done with taxes for this year, so I came to see what I'm missing. What I seem to be missing is an ongoing game. I show that Marco needed an hour, 19 hours ago. Did I miss something?

That's what I see, too, Will.

message 568: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I don't get anything out of anagrams. I'd prefer to hunt clues that make me look through history more. Just a personal preference, mind you.

message 569: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Adolf Hitler?

message 573: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I remembered that Hitler was born at an inn & his wife was Eva Braun, which kind of looked like it would work (it doesn't, no second 'a'.) so I took a WAG. If I got it right, it was just luck.

Did I get it right?

message 574: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I hate to hold up the game, but I'm not sure if Marco was kidding or not about me getting the correct answer. I have a clue ready to go whenever Marco answers or there is a consensus on this.

message 575: by Jim (last edited Mar 31, 2009 09:51AM) (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) That was very weird, Marco. I promise, I wasn't reading your mind!

message 577: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Congrats, Will! You got it.

He was a very interesting fellow. Held over 500 patents, worked for Edison, fought with RCA & helped develop modern sonar. He also sent the first wireless, trans-Atlantic signal. He was fun to read up on.

message 578: by Will (new)

Will Kester | 1047 comments He was. He came up with carbon and copper for phones or something if my memory is right. We build on others' discoveries, but so many of his, which were, seemed like they were so innovative.

Now I gotta come up with one, huh? Okay, gimme a minute ... or two.
