I think Reyna's a very level headed, responsible and mature person. she's not going to whine like a baby if she doesn't get a chance to take part in the quest, even if it does hurt her. Furthermore, Reyna's a leader(and ok, I know you're going to kill me for this) but in my opinion a much better leader than Percy or Jason. We already have a rift in the leadership with Percy and Jason, adding Reyna will just complicate things. Plus, I don't think she's very adventurous, she seems more likely to enjoy staying back and taking command, so yeah, I think she'll be very nice about it.

About the Jason and Piper thing...as far as 'The Lost Hero' goes Jason seems to enjoy Piper's companionship very much, but we don't know much about his relationship with Reyna so (though it seems very unlikely) there is still a chance that he may choose Reyna over Piper.

Yes, another person who doesn't hate reyna! I personally like reyna and Agree that she is level headed. She will cooperate with the Greeks. I don't think Reyna will make things HARDER for the seven.

True but reyna didn't seem completely heartbroken over jason's disappearance. But maybe hat was just her roman formality and her leadership skills that made her pretend not to be. I think Jason will choose piper because of the way the author set the scene for Jason and Pioer to end up together. In TLH, Aphrodite encourages Piper, and at he end piper seems determined "to compete with Jason's past." that's what she says.

Yes, that's pretty certain...but I keep on hoping that Jason, even if he doesn't have romantic feelings for Reyna will stand up for her and show the others that they shouldn't isolate her because of her formal personality but instead be grateful for the responsibility she bears so well.

I have two theories on that. The first is, as you have already mentioned, that she was being responsible and not breaking down in front of others so that they don't think her weak or so that they don't feel awkward.

The second one is that perhaps even though she was very, very sad, she wasn't devastated, you know what I mean? Like, Jason was this important person in her life but when he disappeared she learned, slowly, to move on. Which shows how mature and balanced she is, not depending on one person for her happiness. But I feel that if the same had happened with Piper she would have been immature and broken down. Of course people think of her as more human, but I just think she's very dependent, possessive(remember her confrontation with the Aphrodite cabin leader?) and a bit too full of herself. And Aphrodite continuously encourages that of course.

True reyna may have decided to move on. But she didn't keep searching for him, like Annabeth did for Percy.
I don't honk pipers too full of herself. So she confronted drew. Remember how mean drew was to piper? Calling her dumpster girl and all that? I think pipers a strong character, brave, and also nice. She just has her flaws like all the others.

Well even if she wanted to badly Reyna couldn't have very well and left her city in the hands of Octavian, plus she never did believe Jason was dead, she kept holding on even after 8 months. But u are right about Piper not being full of herself, she's really the exact opposite.

I stand by what I said.She wasn't terrible, but I expected so much more out of her. She was brave, she was smart and she liked adventure, but she lacked that spark that Annabeth had. She was very possessive throughout the book, having violent thoughts and even threatening other girls who even so much as looked at her love interest, though she knew that she had no claim over him as her relationship with the guy was non existent. She was whiny about her dad being famous but she still talked about him a lot. She had that sad rich girl stereotype which I find really annoying. If you're rich, be grateful for that, don't whine about it.

She didn't have any super powers worth speaking of. Charmspeaking was cool, but it was mean and sneaky and I don't think that tricking other people out of their will is a fair way to win a battle. If you have a grudge against someone you should be fair and fight it out. Her fighting skills seemed to come out of nowhere considering that she was a child of Aphrodite and she'd only spent a day in camp before she was whizzed away on a quest. So it seemed unfair that she should be able to fight earthborns and defeat them so easily in her first quest. It wasn't too believable.

Also though she maintains a likeable down to earth personality for most of the book there are times when she seems mean, petty, shallow and has a huge sense of self importance. First, back at the camp where she was unreasonable jealous of Annabeth simply for being with Jason. She couldn't honestly expect him to never be around attractive girls did she? Second, at the camp fire where she kept on interrupting everybody else as if she was some one really important. Third, throughout the book she took it for granted that just because she had been tricked into thinking that she had had a relationship with Jason it somehow gave her the right to be his girlfriend. She never once stopped to think how there might be a girl who loved Jason in his past life and who Jason loved equally. She was really mean to Drew in the cabin. I understand that Drew was a bad head counselor, but that doesn't Piper got to threaten someone for flirting with Jason. Once again, the over possessiveness.

And as for Drew, well...Drew did deserve to be told that she was being mean...but I doubt threatening to throw her off the isalnd was a good way of doing that. If Piper had told her off for being mean and bossy I would have understood, instead she becomes violent because Drew was flirting with her crush. It would have been good of Piper to show Drew that she can't be mean to everyone. Instead, she began to show that she had some claim over Jason which she didn't, because as far as I remember they weren't in a (real) relationship. And as for saying "Jason is mine he just doesn't know it yet", well, that was quite possessive.

She was very immature about it. Instead of understanding that he had a busy life and adjusting to it she began to steal inorder to get his attention. First of all, she should have talked to him about it...and if he didn't listen she could have done something better than stealing. Using her powers to take other people's stuff...I completely disagree with that. Just becuase her father wasn't giving her enough time and attention she felt she had the right to make everyone else's life hell by taking away stuff that they had worked hard for...she didn't keep it but she caused a lot of trouble for it nonetheless. I understand that at first she didn't realise that the people were giving her stuff agains't their will...but really after all the theft complaints surely she could have figured out a bit of it?

I don't think she really stole. She didn't know about her powers. She just asked the people and they gave her stuff. Then she sent the stuff back. I don't think this should be used against her.
A lot of demigods have problems before they come to CHB.
Like I said I think she's a great character, but she has her flaws.

On the beach, she doesn't whine. She just thinks it. There's a big difference. Lots of people think whiny thoughts that they don't say.

What she said to Drew: i agree that it was a bit possessive. But I think drew needed to be taken down a notch.
And even if what she said to Drew was wrong, so she has her cons. I think she has more pros than cons, which is why I like Piper.

She could have also been protecting Jason from Drew. To her he was just a cute guy but to Piper he was much more. She saw his weaknesses, bravery and true self not just his looks. She goes way beyond that. Drew would have dated Jason a bit then dumped him when she got bored of him and annoying Piper. Drew doesn't waste a second to break a heart while Piper refuses to. Drew thinks Aphrodite and her do called love is all about dating, make-up and clothes. Piper sees its true value and is willing to put her own self at risk for it if she needs to. Drew is a boss to the Aphrodite cabin, Piper will be a leader. And I totally want to see if Drew tries to contradict her because she is going down! =D
