I also loved Art of Racing in the Rain.
And I love the Brust as well, so I can't help you decide there ;) I guess it depends what you're in the mood for...
I'm still working my way through the short stories in
Interfictions: An Anthology of Interstitial Writing. I really liked the one I read last night, "Burning Beard".

I'm still somewhat sad at her passing. I still have a few earlier collections, etc. to read of hers, but may have to give this one a go, when I finally come to the end of what I have on hand.

I watched Lifeforce as a youngster, what an eye opener. Viewed it again recently and it seemd quite tame. Interested to see how you enjoy the book
Well, I decided on the Anderson, it's Mother of Kings, kind of a historical fantasy. I hope to finish it and then read the Brust book for the BOTM discussion in February.
I finished up Robert J Sawyer's Wonder and while the writing is top notch the story felt like it was missing something.Started Neil Armstrong's Biography First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong. So far pretty good.
Just started reading The Hidden Goddess, sequel to The Native Star (which I really enjoyed about a year ago). Prologue down, and my interest is caught. It's nice to revisit Steampunk early America, and earthly magics.
I finished Mother of Kings and next up will be our February BOTM, Jhereg. I'm reading it from the omnibus edition, The Book of Jhereg and don't know if I'll continue with the other books in the series or not.
Also have CryoBurn set to read Jhereg.

Am just finishing The Daemon Prism which is terrific. After that am starting Ship of Destiny and The Last Unicorn.
Earlier this month I re-read The Hobbit, and read The Big Sleep for the first time. Now I'm reading The Fuller Memorandum.
I finished up The Summer Queen which was a good ending to a rather involved story; now I'm starting on Inheritance which will complete another series
I'm reading Ship of Destiny. After that I plan to read Archangel. But since I still have over 600 pages to go on Ship of Destiny, it's going to be a while before I finish.
