I love the Edge series. :) I still haven't read Book 3 though but it's definitely on my list.

message 417: by Ann (new)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) I did a lot of reading this weekend!
Finished The Lady of the Storm (The Elven Lords, #2) by Kathryne Kennedy
also read Highland Avenger (Murray Family, #18) by Hannah Howell
and Crystal Gardens by Amanda Quick

now starting If He's Dangerous (Wherlocke #4) by Hannah Howell

message 418: by Robin (Saturndoo) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) I am afraid to admit how many I am currently reading lol

I am reading Gone with the Wind as a BR, Me and My Ghoulfriends as a BR and for a challenge, Perfect for a challenge, True Colors for a challenge, Outlander for a challenge and Standing in the Rainbow for a challenge. Even though I have all these going I will probably pick up something else and start them too lol

message 419: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I totally understand, Robin. Once I started doing the "buddy read" thing, the number of books I read simultaneously could get a little out of hand. I had to really watch my calendar. It is hard for me to resist a good "BR". **sigh**

LOL I have a hard time resisting challenges. I absolutely love them and get so many going I had to make up a private group here on GR so that I could keep track of everything. I go to my personal private group and fill in my reads and then transfer everything over to all my various groups : )

message 421: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments That is what I had to do too, Robin! I was posting here, in RLftCI under the Reading Goals, but it got too insane.

Ann, I'm dying to read the Wherelocke series by Hannah Howell. I just can't find them anywhere and don't have money to spend on books right now.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Got about 25% of Wraith (Zoe Martinique, #1) by Phaedra Weldon left. This has been a hard read for me...some of the story is great, fast paced, full of activity. Other parts seem to drag and the heroine is TSTL, and CONTINUES to do what she knows will harm her.

Rachel the Book Harlot I'm currently reading Ransom (Highlands' Lairds, #2) by Julie Garwood

message 442: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I'm currently reading Good Girl Gone Bad by Karin Tabke and I'm really not liking it. If it weren't for the fact that it'll help me towards three challenges, I'd DNF it right now.

Rachel the Book Harlot That sucks, CaroB. I hate when that happens.

message 444: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I know. I would say dump it... but three challenges are a lot to fix.

Sucks is right, I'll just have to try to get through it quickly, but it works the opposite with reading doesn't it? The good ones I finish in one go and the bad ones just drag, lol!

Lina | 5563 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "I know. I would say dump it... but three challenges are a lot to fix."

I'm going to put it in the "Run the other way" shelf when I'm done.

I love that book, Lisa Kay! Have you read Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella by her?

Rachel the Book Harlot @ Carob & Jenny (Jyl, do you want me to call you Jenny? :) )

I don't know if this happens to you guys but I actually feel physical anxiety when trying to finish a book I hate. lol

message 449: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) If I hate a book, I start skimming in a BIG WAY.

Lina | 5563 comments ~Megan~ wrote: "If I hate a book, I start skimming in a BIG WAY."

Lol, that's exactly what I did! I just got so sick of the heroine's repetitive thought process. I know that's not fair to the book, but I'm sure I'll get over it :-)

Megan, I have Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella lined up for another challenge. Interested in doing a buddy read for it or have you already read it?
