Not sure if that one will work as a buddy-read Gisela. I've heard if you're not into BDSM fiction, it can be a bit heavy. Would you agree with that, ShoSho?

Gisela, anything else that might be wacky or paranormal on your TBR?

Well they are in 24/7 master slave but so far (35%) it hasn't been heavy BDSM in it but again I've read really heavy stuff this might be heavy for you Gisela.

Giving It Up by Amber Lin or Beyond Eden (Eden #1) by Kele Moon or Bloodraven by P.L. Nunn I think the last one is a bit too much!

message 1455: by Gisela, Moderator (new)

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments I don't think I've read any BDSM. So I don't know if I might like it or not. As for wacky or paranormal on my TBR I'll have to check.

Loved that list!

Really like the look of Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill and Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson but I don't have either of those.

I do have You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister already in my TBR. That could be the go! Liked the friends' reviews I've read so far. Does that interest you?

Rachel the Book Harlot I finished Lord of Dishonor by Edith Layton , which was just okay, and now I'm starting The Other Soldier by Kathy Altman

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I'm in a good mood after reading 2 great books, I don't want to ruin it with a bad book so I'm not reading anything. Well other than shadow of night that I 've been reading for while and I have not opened it in a week or so!

Elishia | 2620 comments I just finished Deeper Than Midnight (Midnight Breed, #9) by Lara Adrian now I'm finally reading Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I'm feeling like ShoSho, I loved A Rogue's Proposal (Cynster, #4) by Stephanie Laurens and don't want to ruin that good feeling. I liked it so much, I really want to reread it right now LOL But, I have a bingo shelf to read for, so I'm going to read The Betrayal of the Blood Lily (Pink Carnation, #6) by Lauren Willig

message 1470: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments Well, I wasn't going to read it yet because I'm (very slowly) working on Bag of Bones, but I couldn't resist trying it out before bed... I started The Ugly Duchess (Fairy Tales, #4) by Eloisa James . So much for my resistance...:)

Rachel the Book Harlot CaroB wrote: "Rachel, will be interested to know what you think of that, I'm a big fan of the SuperRomances."

I will definitely let you know. :) I actually got teary eyed while reading the first chapter. *shame face*

Lina | 5563 comments I've just finished Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder , which I loved!!! (can't wait to get to book #2 in the series) and Creed (Unfinished Hero, #2) by Kristen Ashley , which was good, but didn't deliver from the promise of Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1) by Kristen Ashley .

I'm going to read On Dublin Street by Samantha Young and The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton next, just for a change of pace :-)

Rachel the Book Harlot I've been seeing On Dublin Street by Samantha Young everywhere and I'm so curious about it. I think I'm going to give it a shot.

Also, look at this cover: Hard Core by Jennifer Lowery ! Yowzer! I rarely read a book based on the cover but hot damn, I think I'm going to give this one a try.

Carob, this looks really good Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder .Is there romance in this or is it mostly intrigue?

message 1478: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yowzer! is right, Rachel!

With regard to Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder - yes, there is some romance in it.

Rachel the Book Harlot Thanks, Lisa Kay!

I loved Knight, too! As Creed was different (just finished this weekend), I did love it. I absolutely am in love with Creed but I just wish circumstances were slightly different, kinda sad but a good read. Now I'm almost done with Dublin Street and it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! A must read!!

Rachel, there is romance towards the end, but it's a VERY slow build. Loved, loved loved it though :-) I started Magic Study last night... or at least I tried to before my eyelids kept closing against my will.

I'll have to check out the hottie on the cover of that book Rachel, that would be great for the quarterly mod challenge!

message 1485: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) I am wary of Creed(even though I'm a KA fanatic), because I heard it had back door action in it. That's a pretty big ick for me personally. Is it multiple times or just once I could quickly skip over?

message 1486: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments It's a couple of times Megan. But I think it'd be pretty easy to skip over.

It's discussed and there's one major scene but the rest is not detailed - all easily skipped over. It's good but sad, there are flashbacks but I like how it's integrated in between chapters.

Thanks, Carob! It looks great and I'm definitely going to check it out. :)

Oh, so I finished The Other Soldier by Kathy Altman and while I liked the premise and the story, I really disliked the heroine so the romance didn't work for me.

Now I'm reading Because of You (Coming Home, #1) by Jessica Scott by Jessica Scott.

Oh, and here is another cover that got my attenion: Hot Ink by Ranae Rose . Yummy. This one is a novella though.

message 1493: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I often pick my books by their cover when I'm in a reading rut. The yummier the better :-)

message 1494: by Elishia (new)

The covers are really pretty. I read prequel book My Soul to Lose (Soul Screamers, #0.5) by Rachel Vincent a few months back to get a taste for the series, and I really liked the idea of it.

Rachel the Book Harlot I finished Because of You (Coming Home, #1) by Jessica Scott . Next up is The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle by Laura Bickle. This is interesting because it's a ya horror/thriller/apocalyptic story featuring an amish heroine!
