Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Read this yesterday afternoon, my daughter recommended it to me some time ago. She had reviewed it for her YA book blog and has gone on to read the series. Not sure I will but I did enjoy it.

message 9: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I just finished this last night. I had a migraine type headache so sat on the sofa all day and read my kindle with one eye. Loved it. Really keen to see what happens in the next one, when I first heard about the books I thought the 3rd book would be the games and the other 2 the build up to it. Like one huge story in 3 parts rather than sequels if you know what I mean.

Shaun (shaunjeffrey) | 2467 comments I enjoyed the first book a lot and it reminded me of Battle Royale in many ways. It took a little while to get going for me but was written in a manner that made it still readable. I read the second book after but found it much of the same and so I wasn't so keen on that one.

Ellysa Read the trilogy and can say it was one of the best series I've read! I didn't quite understand the hype until I read them, and then I had the set finished in less than a week. :)

message 19: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I have to admit I am looking forward to the movie. I think it is the kind of story that (if directed well) could translate brilliantly to the big screen.
