Third Floor (Training)

[RedPath, The Modtastic Moderator]

((This floor is dedicated to training and sparring.

The first half of the room has a training mat for sparring or practice. There are wooden dummies lined up against the wall. There are also several chest full of training weapons similar to the weapons used by each Banditset, but are wooden instead.

In the other half of the room, there are various simulators machines used to enhance reflexes and agilities. They're used to give members fighting experience through different battle scenarios.))

Lili raced in and headed to the weapons, getting out what she needed only to turn around and come face to face inches from Kalin's in her rush.

Kalin hadn't quite thought things through, and he didn't expect Lili to stop so suddenly. At a glance at the weapons, and her abrupt halt, he just let his feet slid forward, and the rest of his body fall backwards. From the sidelines, it looked like a failed baseball player trying to reach home base as Kalin dropped to the ground hard a few inches in front of Lili right as she turned around and barreled into her legs.

Lili's eyes widened as she was thrown off balance. She fell forward and caught herself, rolling to the side of him before she could fall on him or impale herself with the wooden sword she'd taken out.

Kalin looked at her, noted the wooden sword she held, and his eyes widened. He pulled himself up and reached for an oak bow staff, almost as tall as himself, and as he grabbed it he stood, holding it at an angle in front of him as he watched her, grinning.

Lili smirked and rolled herself up so that she could stand. She held the sword with both hands. "Ladies first." She joked.

Kalin's eyes wandered a bit and he straightened just a tad out of his stance. "There's a lady here?" He asked, sounding honestly puzzled.

Lili bowed. "Yes, haven't you looked in the mirror lately?" She asked him, a glint in her eyes as she smiled up at him.

Kalin froze, staring at Lili. "A-Am I being haunted by a ghost?" He asked slowly, all amusment drowned out of his voice. Ghosts actually scared him... not like he'd admit it to anyone, but he couldn't keep his voice light and joking as he asked Lili the question.

Lili rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll go first." She said, swiping at his shoulders, then changing halfway through the stroked and swinging the blade so it was directed at his legs.

((Did you hear they made a new "smart" car? It folds.... :P People are so stupid. ~.~))

Kalin leapt into action, holding tightly to his staff and directing it to mirror Lili's attacks, ready to block. But he was a little behind in his surprise, so at the end he had to jump back and almost ran into a rack of weapons, holding his staff in front of him defensivly. "'Ey, 'ey.... go easy on me. I don't do hand held weapons." He grinned, and despite his words he held the bow staff with the knowledge of how to use it. It was the only hand-held weapon he knew how to use though, besides a gun.

"What do you do? Hold them with your feet?" Lili asked, since technically all weapons she knew of were 'handheld'.

Kalin laughed at that, forgetting the ghost thing in an instant. "Weapons in general. I prefer smoother ways to get what I want." He had a closed smile now, kind of a secret smirk, and his eyes shone with.. a red light? Yeah, it looked a tad red. "You want me to show you my beautiful companions?"

Lili stood up and crossed her arms. "I thought that was me." She said with a smirk. She winked and ran at him, twisting her blade to aim at his gut.

"Ha." Kalin said and tried to get out of the way, but his bow staff got in the way of his escape, being all tall and heavy and not easy to move around, and so he dropped it and.... looked at the wooden sword that was nearly stabbing him. With a quick flick of the wrist he slipped a tube out of his belt, and made an oof sound as the sword struck him. He bumped into the rack behind him by the force of the hit and winced. "Pause....pause... not fair... you cheated.." He coughed.

Lili smiled and shrugged, standing up. "How so, Mister foothold?" She teased, stepping close to him so he couldn't escape from the rack he was against.

"You're a girl." Kalin murmured, shrugging one shoulder. Without making any real noticable movements, he reached his hand to the tube in his other hand. "And a very nice one at that." He smiled softly this time. "But you could use a little work." He pulled open the tube and deftly poured it over the wooden sword. Instantly the wood started to be eaten away by the acid, and Kalin dashed out of there.

Lili smirked and dropped the handle, letting the chemical do it's job. "Don't think you can get away, Kalin!" She cried, picking up speed as she laughed. She jumped up, flipped and landed on another rack of weapons, using her momentum to keep herself running and balanced. One wrong move and she'd lose him. She had to stay focused. She leaned forward to make herself more aerodynamic before she lunged at him, reaching out for his shirt. She'd be able to stop him if she could close her hand around the fabric.

Kalin had brought out a small, round metal looking marble. He stayed on a profile, so he could watch where he was going and watch Lili as he moved away from her. "Now, calm down..." As she reached for him he threw down the marble, and as it impacted the ground it exploded and blue smoke went in all directions. Oops... Kalin put an arm over his eyes, having thrown it too close to himself.

Lili closed her eyes, losing track of Kalin and letting her body barrel into him. She took advantage of the smoke and felt the impact of herself against him, grabbing his arms and pulling herself to him so that they rolled safely. She let them lose momentum, then stopped them and pinned him to the floor, smiling. "And that wasn't cheating?" She asked him as the smoke cleared and she opened her eyes.

Kalin tensed as Lili fell onto him and they rolled. He kept his eyes closed and they finally stopped, Lili on top of him. He heard what she said. "Cheating? Nah. I'm improvising. Using what I created myself." He blinked his eyes open and couldn't help but laugh. "I think I need to continue tweaking it a bit. There's a bit of a... blue flaw." Both of them were covered in the blue smoke.

Lili laughed as she looked down at him. "A bit?" She asked. "Hopefully you didn't make it permanent." She told him, not moving. "Now hand 'em over. You can't fight with random smoke bombs."

"Random smoke bombs?" Kalin feigned a hurt expression, some of which wasn't totally feigned. "I crafted these by hand. How 'bout we do hand to hand combat? That way niether of us can cheat."

Lili titled her head in consideration. "Okay, you're on." She said, then pressed against him and whispered in his ear. "Are you sure you can fight that well?" She asked.

Kalin tried to move his arms and get out from under her, and froze as she talked. "Well, we can sure find out, can't we." He smiled faintly.

Lili kept him pinned. "See, you're already trying to cheat." She teased, putting her arm against his throat to choke him if he moved as she dragged a finger down the middle of his chest. "Quit being mean." She said, then got up off of him.

He was confused by her words and actions. Also, how'd he cheat? "I'm not being mean." Kalin said, taking in a deep breath as she got up. He stood and started to remove his belt with the tubes and pouches and bombs.

"You were." Lili told him, cracking her knuckles. "Let me know when you're done with all your gadgets." She told him, combing her fingers through her hair to try and get the blue out.

Kalin set the belt down on a rack, and tightened his gloves on his hands. He chuckled at her attempts. "Uh, I think you'll need to shower to get it all out." He raised his hand and wiped Lili's cheek with the back of his fingers. "It's all over your face too..."

Lili backed up and nodded. "I know that." She said. "But it'd be easier to get it out of her hair then off her face."

"Ready then?" Kalin spread his feet and raised his hands, not quite in fists but they were tense. "Unless you want to take a rain check and clean up first."

Lili laughed. "Like you look any better." She noted. She flexed her fingers, ready for the fight.

Kalin smirked and pushed off his back foot, crouching down as he went forward, stopping at an angle in front of Lili, yet off to her side, at an angle that would be difficult and awkward to reach towards to defend one's self, and reached out to grab her arm, at the same time going out to kick her legs from under her.

Lili's eyes widened and she assessed his movements in the time she had. She noticed his attempt to trip her and used his momentum to jump over his leg, then roll and bring him with her.

Kalin found his hand not grabbing her arm, but instead wrapping around her waist as she dropped down and began to roll. He stopped them by putting a hand out onto the ground and ended up on top of Lili, his left arm pinned underneath her. He tried to pull free and at the same time grabbed her right wrist and held it down.

"I don't think so." Lili said with a grunt, tucking her knees to her chest, then pushing him off with her feet, at the same time rolling up to a fighting stance once more. "You'll have to work harder in order for me to let you get on top of me." She winked, then feinted to the left of him, only to somersault and grab his legs, hoping to roll him into a ball so tight the pain would make him surrender.

"You're so weird." Kalin chuckled roughly then winced. He reached out and grabbed Lili's wrist again, this time holding on exceptionally tight and pressing his thumb against one of her nerves. The one that let her actually feel beyond her wrist.

Lili winced and tried to pull away, but her arm was slowly going numb. "Oh, it's about to get weirder." So instead of pulling herself away, she reversed her tactic and pulled him to her, pressing her lips against his and letting herself relax.

Kalin's eyes widened and as a reflex he tensed up, then took her wrist again, this time not pressing on the nerve. "If you insist." He kissed her back, taking advantage of her relaxing and made it so he was on top of her, holding both her wrists down against the floor this time on either side of her, slowly bringing her hands above her head. "Although I'll have to take a rain check." He whispered and with one hand took both of hers and put his other hand on her neck. "Move and you'll end up unconscious." He muttered, his fingers hovering above the certain nerve points.

"Darnit. I'd hoped that would work." Lili said with a smirk. "I misjudged you, Kalin." She laughed lightly and tilted her head, trying to get more comfortable against the floor while still looking at him. "That's the second rain check you've mentioned. Do you like postponing things?" She asked him.

"Postponing? I think of it as waiting for the right moment. Saving things for when they can better suit." Kalin smiled. "So. You call mercy then?" He rubbed his thumb lightly across the skin of her neck, along the vein.
