Sin sighed and turned away.

Sin did not respond to any of this, simply turning back to the task at hand.

((Sorry Bam! I forgot about this, to be truthful, but ehre I am.))
Abigail had wondered through the castle so much. Her cheeks were tear-stained, and she had been panicking from the time she'd lost herself. She hoped Xavier had found himself somewhere safe, but no telling where those fickle staircases could lead them too.
It wasn't until Abigail reached the library that she found her calm and center. She took her wild red hair up into a pony tail, high atop her head, and settled down at a table, calm, with no more tears streaming down her face.
She grabbed a random book sitting on the table. It had a dashing green cover, with bright red lettering, and reminded Abigail much of Christmas. She smiled and opened to the first pages, starting to read the beginning of some sort of Christmas miracle she hoped.

Xavier panted as he reached the top of the stairs, he reted his hands on his knee's as he regained his breath. Over an hour had he been running around the stairs, peering into every given doorway that he hoped Abigail would be behind but he had no such luck. He stood upright and ran his fingers through his dark curls, slowly backing up against the wall to give his tired body some support. He slid down the smooth, cold wall and sat on the marble flooring, he took one deep breath and looked to his left - the direction he just came - and then to his right, two large brown doors stood before him which he recognized straight away; the library. He wearily stood up, in agonizing hope that Abigail would have been lucky to have taken refuge in the library. His brow was prickled with sweat and he removed his dark grey jumper, revealing a tight white shirt. His eyes darted at every student sat down until he finally rested his gaze on flame-like hair, wrapped up in a bun. He couldn't stop himself from smiling and he tiptoed his way towards the table she was sat at. Playfully, he picked up a large dusty book and sat a few seats down from where she sat and he sniggered from behind its pages, watching her carefully read the book with bright red lettering.
((Haha, I shall worry.))
Being so consumed in the book as she was, Abigail not only fail to notice her boyfriend's arrival, but she also overlooked his near presence, sitting just a few chairs down from hers. She leaned her chin on her raised arm, and blew a sliver of hair away from her face. Wetting her lips, she started humming Silver Bells as she read, but decided quickly that it had a sad ring to it, and sounded to slow, so she sped the pace with Have A Holly Jolly Christmas.
She even overlooked him when she looked away from the books to see if any other Christmas novels were lying around. She had half a mind to build a Christmas book Christmas tree.
But when she did begin looking for other novels, she stood up and went to a quiet, high shelf, smelling of dust, only two lanterns lit. She realized no one had been back here for at least months, but she liked being alone.
She wondered idly if Xavier would find her back here.

Chris came into the library and threw his bag on a nearby table, quickly hurrying to the nearest mile high shelf filled with old copies, well organized for their size.
He smiled and took a green cover from the shelf, knowing it'd been such a long time since he'd read a green book. He glanced at the author, and put it back on the shelf, hunting for other green covered books now.

Brenton had been counting his breaths up until this moment, and all the way back here he was thanking Evangeline over and over for accompanying him. He was nervous and worked up, and maybe even a bit mad, but he had to admit- at least to himself- that he wanted to see his brother again.
After all, it wasn't his doing that their relationship had gotten as... Horrible as it was now.
He looked back on Evangeline, and grinned, gently kissing her. "I love you. Thank you so much." He said.
Letting her show him where his brother was, smirking at a book, he shook his head. It was when he was looking around for him when he noticed a dark haired boy at a table who looked a lot like Abigail's beau. That he was here, meant that Abigail was probably bouncing near by, and sure enough, there was a bit of fire red hair bobbing up and down behind a shelf, and Brenton smiled and pointed. "There's Abi. You can chat with her, if you'd like, while I'm... Tending to my brother." He told Evangeline.

She kissed Brenton back. "I love you too," she said softly. Seeing the fiery-haired girl, Evangeline nodded, and then turned back to Brenton. "All right, I'll do that. Thank you." She hesitated. "Good luck," she said, squeezing his hand reassuringly. "And... if it gets to be too much, or if you need me for anything, I'll be here, OK?" She needed Brenton to understand that if he needed her, whatever he needed she'd be there. She gave him another quick kiss on the lips.
Brenton couldn't believe how much he loved her then. He shook his head at his amazement and started to walk toward Chris who now knew he was there, standing awkwardly with the book forgotten at his side. He'd been able to find Ravenclaws common room and throw his things in, changing quickly into a bright green and grey stripped sweater, of which was the base reason everyone was now thinking he was in Slytherin.
He'd worn the sweater anyway, and looked quite nice in it, paired with dark jeans. He'd not changed into his Hogwarts robs yet, but he'd planned to do that before going to any classes.
Awkwardly waving at his brother, he tried as hard as he could not to notice Evangeline again, but as hard as he'd tried, he did notice the hole in her shirt was gone. She was nice and clean now, and even more gorgeous than before.
Brenton stepped away to Chris. "Sorry we took so long. We ran into Katherine, and had lunch, so..."
"No, no, it's fine. I was able to get around to where I needed to go nicely, but it all confuses me a great deal." Chris said passingly, placing the book he had back to the shelf.
Abigail was now getting to the top of her book made tree. The books were stacked in a circle going from wide to skinny, and she was quite impressed with it. Now jumping up and down to get the book she was too short to retrieve, she squealed as two other books came crashing down, knocking on her feet and causing her to to crash to the floor with an oomph.

"Do you want a hand?" she asked, picking the books off her and then holding out a hand to help her to her feet. As the girl picked herself up, Evangeline decided to introduce herself. "You're Abigail, aren't you? I'm Evangeline, Brenton's new girlfriend." She couldn't believe how much she loved hearing those words come out of her mouth, but she did.
"Well, I'll show you around." Brenton said, and they both left the library, shoving their hands in their pockets, and watching their feet; No matter how much they wanted to be apart from eachother, they were more alike in persona than they'd ever want.
Abigail's squeal received a stern look by most of the studying students, but she didn't notice it, being to busy trying to wrestle herself out from the book pile. A few of them lifted, and she heard a polite voice offer help.
"Thank you! Thank you!" She said, reaching for the hand to rise to her feet.
Evangeline? This girl was Brenton's girlfriend? Abigail bit her lip in concentration as she gave the girl a quick lookover. Tall, beautiful, and sweet looking like some kind of angel. Abigail decided that she seemed exactly what Brenton would love.
Smiling, she nodded frantically. "I am Abigail! You're the... Oh! You're the lady he was dancing with. You know, you seemed so mysterious, and I was worried that Brenton might have found more trouble, because Brenton usually does find trouble, you see, but I don't think you seem like trouble now, of course. I'm Abigail." She babbled, as she usually did. Abigail had always babbled.
Standing at four foot two inches, Abigail was looking up at the girl.

She turned back to the small red haired girl and smiled through her chatter. "Mysterious?" she said as Abigail finished talking. "I'll take that as a compliment," Evangeline said, laughing, one eyebrow raised. Then she looked around at the mess the tumbling pile of books had made. "Do you want some help tidying this up?" she asked. As she leaned down to pick up a thick book with a dark red cover, she asked "What do you mean Brenton always gets into trouble? "

In their hidden shelf, Abigail nodded, falling down her her knees to start the base of her tree again. "Yes, mysterious. You looked like a... Something from a fairy tale, and Brenton, even though he's amazing, just doesn't usually dance with Fairy Tale girls. Actually," Abigail said as she reconsidered, "Brenton doesn't dance with anyone." She said shaking her head.
"But of course, yes, he does get into trouble almost everyday. When we were younger, going home for Summer, of course.... His brother wasn't home, but that's a long story. Anyway, when we'd all go home, we would always not be able to deny Brenton his crazy plans, and we always had the most crazy adventures." Abigail paused to take a breath and smile up at Evangeline. "But we'd always come home with something new to talk about. And maybe that was the best part. So you're Evangeline, and how long have you known Brenton?"

Abigail took a breath and readied herself for her oncoming babble. Why couldn't she just be quiet for awhile?
She really wasn't ever in the mood to be quiet, though, so as she started the third row of her Christmas tree, looking around for things to decorate it, she looked at Evangeline. "I don't fully know everything myself, but... Chris never really got along with Brenton, except when they were little boys, and sooner or later, they just started to not like each other. Brenton got really mad at Chris for treating Kat the way he did- Oh, sorry, Katherine is our friend too- and Chris blew up, and became even more... Shady. He's shady. He devours girls, but he's got an amazing heart too. I just think he's scared of actually finding a girl that he could love. Like Kat."
Abigail sighed and shook her head. "And Katherine doesn't even know any of this. She just knows they're not close. Well, one Summer, Brenty went home, and Chris stormed out. They've not seen each other in four years."

She felt tears welling up in her eyes - for all of them, not just for Brenton. She couldn't bring herself to actually like Chris, but she did feel sorry for him. She knew how it felt to be scared to love - but that still didn't excuse his behavior. After George had left her Evangeline had been scared to love, so instead of devouring boys she'd shut herself away. Brenton had freed her from that, but Chris was obviously still trapped, in a different way.
Evangeline wiped her eyes with a leftover ribbon still clinging to a button on her sleeve. A plan was starting to form in her mind, but she didn't know if she wanted to act on it yet, for fear of losing Brenton so soon.
"How...how exactly did Chris treat Kat?" Evangeline asked Abigail. "I met Kat earlier today, and she seems happy enough... I just wish there was something I could do to help. Four years..." she murmured those last two sentences quietly, pretty much just to herself.
Abigail squealed excitedly at her ribbons and built the rest of her tree quickly, sticking the ribbons inside the top book, letting them curl down every side of the book Christmas tree. Giggling at the way it looked she stood and casted a spell to let twinkly lights revolve around it, making her hair shine brighter than ever.
Finally having nothing to keep her busy, she turned toward Evangeline, and her big brown eyes watched the girl intently. Abigails lips shaped a perfect pout, and from the twinkle lights she seemed like a five year old being read a fairy tale, even though she was nearly seventeen.
She nodded, and patted her lap absently. "Katherine doesn't know that Chris loves her. I don't even know if Chris has really realized it... They act as if there's nothing there, but all of us see it. You met Kat! What did you think of her?! I think she's pretty amazing, because she always proof-reads my homework and tells me what I missed. Not that I miss a lot, you know, but it's nice to have her check." Abgail stated politely, batting her long eyelashes.
