message 351: by Jenelle (new)

Jenelle Currently reading The Enchantress. Took a trip to the library last week and brought back "The Game" by Diana Wynne Jones, "A Princess of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and "Book of a Thousand Days" by Shannon Hale (cannot remember if I've read that one or not). Probably going to start with the Burroughs, as it's one I most likely won't be able to renew (lots of people requesting it)

Holly Letson (bookaholicholly) | 4 comments Well, I finished Stunning (Pretty Little Liars, #11) by Sara Shepard yesterday, and so I moved on to Pretty Little Secrets by Sara Shepard today. After I finish this, I will be reading Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) by Richelle Mead , so that I can turn those in, since they are library books. Then, I'm moving back to my home collection of books, and reading Spellbinder (Night World, #3) by L.J. Smith in the Night World, No. 1 (Night World, #1-3) by L.J. Smith omnibus before moving back on to finish James Patterson 's *Witches and Wizards: W* and maybe some of his The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride, #1) by James Patterson (*Maximum Ride*) series. Then, it's back to The Coven (Wicca, #2) by Cate Tiernan . After that, I'll probably move back on to Night World, No. 2 (Night World, #4-6) by L.J. Smith or Blood Witch (Wicca, #3) by Cate Tiernan , but not sure which one, yet.

message 353: by Kelly (new)

I had trouble reading that book and honestly I finished it and had the feeling that nothing really eventful happened. Don't get me wrong it WAS eventful it just, overall, felt a bit boring... So please, tell me what you think when you finish it!

I'm having troubles with that too, I think it's because it goes right into the action started in the previous book. What do you think of the plot so far?

message 356: by Ami (new)

Ami (unknownnyan) | 3 comments I'm reading Ocean of Blood by Darren Shan right now and I have to say, I'm loving it! I really like how it's not your average teen, vampire book. And I also like how it's on the scary side of things and being a bit less romance.

message 357: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashbash82) Before I Fall
it's okay...I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to get thru a huge chunk of the story until it starts picking up

Just finished The Power of Six, it was really good!

Now on to Across the Universe :)

message 359: by Kdbrand (new)

Kdbrand I just started The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi today, and so far it is very interesting. However, it is a more advanced read, and has many foreign words (setting is in futuristic Thailand). This book is from Paolo Bacigalupi, author of Ship Breaker. I had to read another one of Paolo's books because SB was so intense!

Terab (fiddylover) | 34 comments Mayan Lover by Wendy S. Hales I just started this book today, it was free and it's also a novella. So far I really like it, seems like there's going to be romance and suspense!!

Bared to You by Sylvia Day is currently being compared to the Fifty Shade series. I read it and it's a really good read. I think the sequel comes out in October. I also really liked Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire, Knight by Kristen Ashley, and Playing for Keeps by RL Mathewson - all similar Alpha males/heroine type romance books - oh and Lynda Chance writes similarly, too.

Do you like it so far?
I'm on chapter 11. And it's not really exciting...it's nice to hear their love stories from different eras, but I feel like it just kinda drags. I'm just desperate for answers about their curse and everything! Ehhhhh so annoying
