Powers: Telekinesis (moving things), Talking to the dead, flight (no wings. People assume it's part of her telekinesis, but it seems as though she floats all the time), and the ability to move through solid objects.
Weapon: Her Telekinesis. Due to her solid objects thing, if she thinks too hard about it, she could drop the thing that she's holding.

Dressing style: As seen above. Although she always wears the same clothing, hairstyle, and markings every day.
Personality: She's quiet and tends to keep to herself, except for when she's teaching. She's very touchy and won't let people touch her. She loves being outside, especially when it's warm and sunny.

Background History: She doesn't talk about her background much, especially since she doesn't like talking to people. But what she does say is that she was from Eastern Pennsylvania (never says where), and that her family was lost. Rumors have it that she's insane, homeless, or both, but either way, people tend to keep away from her.
Other: She has an increased 'interest' in the history of the world, and knows most facts about it. Therefore, since she doesn't need to learn about the past, she teaches it.

Personality: Kind and thoughtful, he loves talking to people. Unfortunately, he always longs to look at the person he's talking to and can't because of his 'blindness', and he's usually lonely because he has to go to special classes to learn everything through speech, since he can't read the books that are given out to normal students.
Family: Parents and a little sister.
Background History: He's always been a Gorgon. It's in his genetics. But the first time he killed someone, it broke his heart. He was just little, and had disobeyed his mom and gone out of the house without a hat or mask to cover his face, since he wanted to see people. A nice woman came to ask him if he was lost and one glance at his eyes turned her to solid marble. He screamed and screamed, trying to claw his eyes out because he knew that's what had done it. He still has scars across his eyelids from it, and since then, he's vowed to wear a blindfold at all times.

Weapon: His power to shift. He's also pretty good at using sais.

Personality: Tricky and provocative, he often jokes around with people by pulling pranks, like the classic talking animal. Although, that thing isn't working here with all these weird people like himself, so he's working on new pranks to pull.
Family: His clan.
Background History: Raised as the heir to his father's right as head of the clan, Klier was always a fine gentlemen, but when the pressure got too hard to handle, he asked his parents for a retreat. They sent him here to learn social skills with other species, but he didn't want that. So he's forgotten his good natured ways and came here for some fun.

Personality: Izmorya is a quiet and shy girl, who doesn't speak at all. She hates how her voice is so controlling, and refuses to use it. She is kind, and sweet, but stays away from people because she's afraid she'll accidentally use her voice. Sometimes seems very cold and icy, but underneath she just cares about everyone around her, even if she's never met them.
Family: Achelous (father), Terpsichore (mother), other siren sisters
Background History: She is the least known of her siren sisters, and is grateful for that. Most people don't know about her being a siren, and believe her to be "just a mute" without powers. No one really knows what she's doing at the institute. Izmorya left her island to come to the institute so that she could escape the generally bad reputation of siren.

Background History: She was born to be alpha of a pack but something went terribly wrong and her parents along with her pack died because of a massive fire, only she wasn't at home when it happened. She came home to find the tragedy and ran for help. Only when she got help it wasn't the help she wanted.
