It's beautifully written, more like a novel than an autobiography."How are you liking Harry Potter? I love it! It is my favorite series ever. I hope you are enjoying it!
I really want to start the Harry Potter series but I prefer buying the books. Does anyone recommend good places that I could find the whole set cheap?

You could buy them used on Amazon. I saw that a Harry Potter boxed set is only 46 on Amazon (used but in "like new" condition) Which may seem expensive but for 7 books it is really good. Hope this helps!
Marc wrote: "I am reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and 1984 by George Orwell"These two books are often grouped together. For me, 1984 is the more unsettling of the two.
Buck, I'm the opposite. BNW is more unsettling to me because I could see it happening much easier. People are very easily lulled into pacification, but if they were forced, more would be apt to rebel. IMHO.
I've just finished A River Runs Through It by Norman Maclean. I'm just blown away it is so beautifully written. It's not on our bookmark list of 50 nor on our own list of 100, but it should be on everybody's list to read.

Just finished Possession and Born Free: A Lioness of Two Worlds. Both very kind of meh. Read Tess of the d'Urbervilles and it was exquisite, I think that everything will pale in comparison for a while.
I started reading Fictions by Jorge Luis Borges...I read a few pages, and already looks like pretty trippy
I just started Warrior of the West by M. K. Hume. It's book 2 of her King Arthur trilogy. So far it's really good
I just finished Perfect Peace by Daniel Black. Interesting read. Now reading Huck Finn by Samuel Clemmons and Mrs. Lincoln's Rival.
by Lisa 0 minutes agoHas anyone else seen the new Word Cloud Classics from Cantebury. Stunning embossed and foiled colorful covers. I buy one at Exclusive Books whenever I'm unsupervised (my supervision has strangely increased lately)
Just finished reading "A Study in Scarlet" by Arthur Conan Doyle...starting with the "The Sign of Four"...
Three Kingdoms originally written in Chinese by Luo Guanzhong. I doubt anyone has heard of it, but in Asia it is highly influential. Tells the story of three rival kingdoms rising to prominence in ancient China following the death of the last Han emperor. Before the Huns, before the Mongolians and the like. War intrigues, politics and the deeds of honorable warlords. It's been described as the Homer poems of Eastern culture. So if you're ever in the mood for some historical lit but have lost your taste for gladiators, Spartans and all those guys you know what to look into! For me, I'm enjoying it thoroughly
Feedback by Peter Cawdron. I can't tell you about it because I only came up for air to get something to eat and shower. I have to get back to reading now, but I will put up a review right after I finish . . . okay after I catch up on the housework, make sure that electric bill was paid before I picked up this book, and 100 other things I have been putting off because I couldn't put the book down. ;-)
At the moment I am reading I Am Malala, which I am finishing up, and Intend on reading either 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' by Robert L. Stevenson or 'Naked Lunch' by William Burroughs

I finished One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest!! And I just started The Picture of Dorian Gray :) im loving all the symbology in it ♡
About to finish Brighton Rock. Read Dorian Gray last month. All those quotes in one small book and so many themes.
Marc wrote: "Just finished One Flew over the Cookoos nest.. now I am going to start the Great Gatsby..."So, what did you think if it?
I read the book before the movie came out. Jack Nicholson, the star of the movie, just didn't seem right to me for the part of McMurphy - but of course he was perfect for it. It's a good movie.
Michelle wrote: "Reading Mennonite in a Little Black Dress"I read that last year; let me know what you think of it!
