Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments There was something about this book that really appealed to me. I loved the time it was set in and could somewhat relate to it. While my high school years were 5 or so before the story it made me wonder what I would do in this situation.

Would you really want to know at 17-18 years old what your future was? My first answer is yes, but then seeing Emma and Josh struggle with things it makes me want to change my answer to no.

When Josh and Emma, well Emma mostly, started to play with their future changing things it really made them think. I liked how they knew they were doing things, it made them reconsider things and look at people in a new light.

I did get annoyed with the angsty aspect between Josh and Emma, but with teens as the main characters it is hard to get away from that.

I liked the ending and the choice that both Emma's made. I think young Emma's choice will definitely affect old Emma's fate and in a good way.

Melodie (melodieco) I really liked this book, too. It ended the way I expected, but it was still a good read.

If you wanted a HEA then it couldn't have ended any other way, but I could see it going in different ways from my view point, since I sometimes prefer books that don't have a HEA.

Tya | 846 comments I didn't really care for this book. :( I had heard such good things, but I didn't really like it at all. I didn't dislike it...you know. Have you seen the movies The Shop Around the Corner and You've Got Mail? You've Got Mail is a remake of The Shop Around the Corner but with the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan sending emails via AOL instead of snail mail. A review that I read said that as delightful as Meg and Tom's performance was the movie was going to be remembered as a commercial for AOL, it doesn't add anything or was any more charming or whatever than the original. The Future of Us was...ok. But it feels like eventually its going to be nothing more than an advertisement for Facebook.
