I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Did anyone get books for Christmas? I didn't, but I did get a gift card for a bookstore- now to decide what to use it on!!

I bought my kids some books- the little one likes this fairy series, so I got her some of those books, and then I got some horse books for the older one. She prefers dragon books, but I think she's read just about everything appropriate to her age level.

message 7: by Laura AKA Loves 2 Read Romance (last edited Dec 28, 2011 06:13AM) (new)

Laura AKA Loves 2 Read Romance I got books under the tree! I also bought some books. From my Uncle I got When Passion Rules by Johanna Lindsey. Its not a Love Inspired but it is a historical romance set in Napoleon's era. From my parents I got a Harlequin Intrigue Nanny 911 (Harlequin Intrigue #1321) by Julie Miller and the following Love Inspired, & Love Inspired Suspense: Building a Family (Love Inspired) by Lyn Cote , Hidden in the Everglades by Margaret Daley , and Lone Defender by Shirlee McCoy .

It was funny because I forgot about them getting me Building a Family so when my mom told me she lost one of the books I went and counted the book shaped packages and told her no you only got me three. After presents were opened I realized Lone Defender was missing. I found it behind a chair in her room. It had fallen out of the bag. Oh I almost forgot I am a big Harry Potter fan so my parents also got me:
The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook Presents - 10 Summertime Treats by Dinah Bucholz

Wow, those are some great books!!! I can see that we have a lot of historical fans here. (Drooling over your books....)

It's so funny, I get my gift cards and think, "I have no idea what to buy with this," and buy the time I check out, I wish I had more to spend. You guys have given me some great ideas!

Terri, I have that one too. On my Kindle. Not yet read. *sigh* I've been sick the past several days, so I've made a big dent in the Kindle TBR, but I still have a lot to go.

Nina | 39 comments a big box of books of all kinds of genes from my kid sister, love it. lol

Janet Dean | 34 comments Sorry you've been sick, Dream. The silver lining--time to read. I didn't get books for Christmas, probably because my TBR pile is teetering, plus I have a couple unread books on my Kindle. Just finished Ruth Logan Herne's Yuletide Hearts. Not a historical but a lovely story. Next is Dan Walsh's Remembering Christmas.

Janet, I'm finally on the mend. It has been nice to read more. Yesterday, even though I was feeling good, I ended up reading most of the afternoon as well. We're switching from cable to dish, and the workers were here for 5 hours!! So I hid upstairs to stay out of their way, and relaxed with my Kindle. It was frustrating not to get everything done on my list, but it was nice to have time to read.
