How to Save a Life has received numerous starred reviews and was a Publisher's Weekly Best Book of 2011 since it's October publication. It tied for second in our poll. How will it fair with the Printz committee?

I liked the book. I thought it was "different." Loved the ending. I hope the Prinz committee will really give this one some thought!
I liked it too, but actually thought it was a bit predictable/conventional though the narrative and characters were very engaging. Also, did anyone else get thrown by the Bronte sisters discussion around page 160? It sounds like Jill thought Jane Eyre was written by Emily, not Charlotte...
Just finished it last night, and while I loved the story and the characters, I also think it's a little too conventional for a Printz. Definitely a top-tier contemporary YA book -- I could see it being on the BFYA list and a strong contender for the top 10.
