Shelley | 48 comments Perry's ad self-confidently slurring our brave gay soldiers' desire to live in truth is one of the most contemptible and smug pieces of political advertising I've ever seen.

noun
a process in which fractures in rocks below the earth's surface are opened and widened by injecting chemicals and liquids at high pressure: used especially to extract natural gas or oil.
(from Dictionary.com)

Now, my definition - A money-making scheme by evil bastards, causing a serious threat to environmental safety and water supplies. And, it's going on within miles of my home.

I'm assuming the people of Pennsylvania were promised employment, but from what I've seen, the high paying jobs are all going to guys from Texas and Oklahoma. We get to drive their water trucks, bus their tables, and clean out their port-a-potties.

And, our Governor doesn't want to tax them for fear they will leave! What are they going to do? Pack up the Marcellus Shale and take it with them to Mexico?
Meanwhile, their heavy trucks are ruining our infrastructure, and they're not paying a dime to fix the problem.

They're also sucking 65,000 to 600,000 gallons of water, per well, from our streams and rivers.

Anyone in favor of this process is certainly in the pockets of the gas and oil industry.
