Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Have you read Night Huntress?

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments I second the Night Huntress series or the Chicagoland Vampire series if you want a vamp series to try.

If you want a good witch series I would go with either (or both) Opal Fire by Barbra Annino or Under Witch Moon by Maria E. Schneider, both are excellent series (they each have two books out right now).

Another great adult series is Grave Witch by Kaylana Price (also two books out).

If you want another YA angel series try Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, it is so good and the second book comes out next month and it is fantastic too!

E.J. Stevens has a great YA series out too, her first book is She Smells The Dead.

Jeri Smith Ready has her Shift series out that is also wonderful.

Rachel Vincent has her Soul Screamer series that is fabulous too if you want something a little different from the normal vamps and witches.

I read and review a lot of YA books you can check my blog out for other recommendations if you want? :)

Check out Kate Daniels too Laura. That's another great one--its set in an alternate Atlanta--altho Kate does visit a few other places in GA--where "the tide has turned" and magic is crashing back into the world and destroying everything created by science. Kate is a member of the Mercenary Guild--they take jobs that range from bodyguard to "Kill that beast that's bothering me"--she's also a former acolyte of the Order--think militant religious order, like the Knights Templar or the Saolin (? on the spelling of that) priests--and she's also . . . Well, why ruin all the good stuff. :o) Altho I will warn you--the vamps in this series are NOT the kind that we typically think of. They are more like ghouls or zombies, in that they are fairly brainless, but they do drink blood and kill. There are also shifters (LLOOVVEEEE Jim AND the Beastlord) so if you like those, you should like this series.
