I just finished my final pick from Rebecca's recs for this month. The Host. I liked it very much. Gave it 5 stars. Great book. Although it was more sf than fantasy, it was still good. :)

I'm almost done with
. This is my fourth book from the January PIFM recommendations, and probably my least favorite. It's a quick read and humorous at times, but the lead female character is downright abrasive at times. Still, I enjoyed it enough to want to check out the next book in the series.I think this is the most books I've ever read from a PIFM in one month.
Finished The Hunger Games today. I liked it, not quite five stars book but a solid four!
Usually I don't read the dystopian fantasies but this one was definitely worth picking up.
Dragana,3/3 FINISHED!
Welcome the New Year
Wow,this was a great pick. I really enjoyed the dark world that the author created, though I am so annoyed that I now have another series I have to read! As a former rape crisis counselor, I found her story so interesting and I have to admit I haven't read feminist fiction in a long while. But what a great story, it's still stuck in my head. Loved it!!
During the New Year
Victoria Alexander has become a favorite author recently and she didn't miss with this one. Such an enjoyable read. Even when her storylines are cliched she manages to make them so much fun to read and so fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! Thanks for the pick.
Celebrate the New Year
I enjoyed this book. I would call it paranormal lite and it was a fun light read. Some really funny ideas and an interesting addition of religion. Thanks for the pick!

Looks like I just got to 2 this moth.
Loved Reunion in Death and thought The Next Always was a little repetitive. Like I've read it before, but it was good.
I just finished reading
. I'm listening to it on audio and there is a lot of stuff going on in the story. Lots of details, however I really liked it once I got into it. I'll definately be reading the next one for sure. ****

Marissa-Dono, Lately I've been reading my books a month after they've been recommended. *sigh* So, I broke the pattern and finished reading One Silent Night. Hooray! At least I finished one!I found Welcome to the Monkey House, but couldn't find Slaughterhouse Five. We think it might be in storage. :-(
I finished Dragon Bound and I loved it! Guess that adds another series to my list to get caught up on.
Just finished Dash & Lily's Book of Dares absolutely loved it.. i fell equally in love with Dash and Lily and the amazing writing style of this author who is now on my definite watch list
I've completed ~ Beyond the Highland Mist -loved it KMM weaves a fabulous tale; In Bed with a Highlander - first book I've read by this author can't wait to start the second book; Good Girls Don't - this was just ok for me Tessa got on my nerves however didn't keep me from finishing this trilogy and I'm glad it didn't as I loved both Jamie and Eric's books; just was able to finally get Deadly Fear from the library and am hoping to finish it - so far it's a really good suspense book with hot romance thrown in.....

Glad you liked it and the second book was more interesting ;)
Carla, I just finished the second book, Brava, Valentine and I see what you mean about Alfredo. Now I cannot wait for the third one to be out!! I want to know what happens to the rest of the family, but especially Valentine and Gianluca!!
I finished Assassin's Honor. It was a good start to world building in the story. I'm curious about the next book, so will put it on my mountainous TBR pile. Thanks Cacophony!
I'm having a hard time getting into The Book Thief. I'm afraid that I won't get it finished by Tuesday =(
Suzanne wrote: "I finished reading In Bed with a Highlander by Maya Banks! I loved this book! It kept me up way past my bedtime, It was very engaging! I loved the relationship that t..."I've had this book for a while, I won an advanced readers copy. Over the weekend I picked it up and started "skimming" and ended up practically reading the whole thing, and then went out and got the second and third book and "skimmed" them too, lol. They were so good! There were a few mannerisms she did that annoyed me, but I overall like the story line.
Tiffanny wrote: "I'm having a hard time getting into The Book Thief. I'm afraid that I won't get it finished by Tuesday =("Hi Tiffanny,
I had trouble getting into this one, too, but once I got into it, I felt like it really went fast. It took me about 100 pages until I was hooked, though, but then I got it done fairly quickly. It is a very good book about how the French had to survive during the Holocaust.
Finished Deadly Fear last night. Quick suspense read. Will definitely check out the next in the series. Thanks for the recommendations this month Grace!
Lili,I finally got
from the library. Obviously, I won't get it read this month, but I'll probably start it tomorrow.
I finished "In Bed with a Highlander". Great book. I agree with Suzanne, the book did keep me up way past my bedtime :-) But I enjoyed every minute of it.
Leslie! I'm still reading Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage and I'm enjoying it! Unfortunately, I won't finish the challenge in time, but I'm going to finish it, either way! Thanks for the rec.
Hi Gigi, no worries from me about finishing a challenge on time!! I'm just happy that you are enjoying the book. This is one of my favorite series and I can't wait till the last one comes out! Enjoy.
