I also have read a good number of them, but all out of order, and can't remember some. :D

Megan (teenqueen) | 58 comments I have just started reading The Adoration Of Jenna Fox. I'm only a few pages in but so far it has captured my attention and I'm curious as to how the book will turn out.

Alexis (LexaReads) | 375 comments Hey Miss I finished Hot Six (Stephanie Plum, #6) by Janet Evanovich ! I loved it! It might be my favorite in the series up to date. I really enjoy this series. I don't know why I never hunker down and read straight through it. Anyways thank you for the wonderful recommendation! Hopefully I'll have time to read another one this month. It'll depend though. Classes officially restarted today so my reading time is getting cut to maybe a quarter of the time I had. :/

Alyssa (jynx66) | 52 comments Finished The Darkest Passion (Lords of the Underworld, #5) by Gena Showalter
As much as I wanted to love it, I didn't. It was only a 4-star book to me. Mainly cause Legion annoyed the hell out of me and Olivia was too timid for my taste to fit with Aeron. I didn't really feel their relationship til the end of the book. Otherwise, it was a good story.

Hi Lexa, I'm glad you enjoyed it, this is a great series and so funny!

I read it recently and loved it too. I'm definitely recommending it next month.

message 559: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments BTW...I finished Nothing Ever Happens, which was a buddy read with Tiffany, Vi and other ladies.

The book was realistic but sometimes that sucks for a romance (and that happened in this case.)

Anywho, I'll try to get to another of Tiffany's recs before the month is out. :)

Victoria Alexander has become a favorite author recently and she didn't miss with this one. Such an enjoyable read. Even when her storylines are cliched she manages to make them so much fun to read and so fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! Thanks for the pick.

Celebrate the New Year How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire 1/6/12 ***1/2 stars
I enjoyed this book. I would call it paranormal lite and it was a fun light read. Some really funny ideas and an interesting addition of religion. Thanks for the pick!

I finally picked up City of Bones from the library. When would you like to do the buddy read?

message 562: by Cathy (new)

Cathy Galloway | 700 comments I finished reading Immortal Rider. It was okay but I felt like it dragged things out too much.
Still, I will continue reading the series.

Awww. Sorry to hear IR was just okay, Cathy. I haven't read it yet myself (coincidentally, I plan on starting it today) but I assumed since it was Ione, it would be great. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your next read.

No, I'm excited to read it. It's good for me to stretch myself. The only thing I really balk at is true horror stories and I hate depressing endings.

No problem. I'm not very far yet, only on chapter 9 (pg 128).

message 572: by Megan (new)

Megan (teenqueen) | 58 comments I've just finished reading The Adoration of Jenna Fox. I enjoyed it but it hasn't been the best book I've read this month. I liked the plot, it was unique, but I don't think the author developed the characters well enough. Overall, I gave it 3 stars. I don't know if I will be able to get on to any more of this months pifms since I have quite a few books that I need to finish this month, but if I have the time to spare I will try :D

message 573: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Nancy, I finished The Year of Living Scandalously (The Secrets of Hadley Green #1) by Julia London today. I hope that you liked it ok; I've got to say that although I thought that it was ok, I was disappointed in it. I like Julia London's books, but I just couldn't buy into the whole premise of the story, so it kind of fell flat for me. Thanks for doing the buddy read, though.

Iris (ipro) | 277 comments Finished two more...

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward - 5 Stars
Absolutely loved this. And I'm wondering what took me so damn long to read it since it's been sitting on my tbr for what seems like forever. I'm officially jumping on the BDB bandwagon

Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian -= 4 Stars
Only 4 stars on this one because although I couldn't seem to put this down, I found it hard to like the hero at times. But... I enjoyed it enough that I'm definitely going to continue the series because I just have to see what happens next. lol

Lala | 169 comments Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead *** 01/15/12

In some parts of the book i just knew what would happen and that makes it weak for me. All the business with tattoos was so obviouse. Only thing that made it better was that there where more in the story then tattoos.

Im still glad i read it :)

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments Hi Jojo,

I finished Last Night's Scandal (Carsington Brothers #5) by Loretta Chase scandal this morning and I don't know why I let this one hang around so long. I loved all the other books in the series and this was no exception. I really enjoyed it and I want Loretta Chase to follow me around and tell me what to say so I can be as witty as her books. :) Thanks for the great pick!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I finished up Daughter of Smoke and Bone that Ruth Ann recommended to me the other day on the drive home from work...I love that world that Ms Taylor created, it seemed to real and went fantasical at the same time. Can't wait for book 2 that is going to be out in September (I think). the narrator, Kristina Hvam, was prefect for the audiobook

message 585: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11338 comments I finished my buddy read with Elke of Surrender yesterday. I liked the book, but was a little disappointed because for me it just didn't quite live up to all the raves I've heard about it. I did give it 4 stars though, and definitely plan on reading the other brothers' stories.

Thanks for the recommendation Elke, and for reading it with me!

message 586: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments KarenH, I finished my pick Faefever.1/15/12 I give it 5 stars. Oh boy this one was chock full of surprises right up to the end. Mac is in trouble again. I cannot wait to read the next one to find out what happens. The end does not wrap up the story and leaves you on a cliffhanger so have the next book ready.

That's part of the reason I haven't read it before now - I purposely waited until the entire series was out and I had it in my possession, and since then I just haven't managed to fit it into the various challenges!

Hi Nici! I'm sorry for the late reply. I'm soo thrilled that you enjoyed the book. I loved both Beth and Ian- although, I have a sweet spot for Ian.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the PIFM challenge. The PIFM challenge is pretty awesome. If I hadn't of joined my first PIFM (2010 i think), there would be a long list of books/authors that I wouldn't have read and enjoyed- which would include a few now favorite authors.

message 597: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments I finished Tempting the Beast, a great pick for me from Macwolf01(Elise).

Although I have read several Breeds books already, I never actually read the first one. It was great to start from the beginning and get some interesting backround info.

The first several Breeds came from Elloras Cave and as expected from that publisher, it was heavy on sex. I usually have no complaints about that, LOL, but I like the world building of this series and actually wanted a little more story. I did love Merinus so much, and her sassy and strong attitude really made the story so enjoyable for me. 4*

Thanks for the push to finally get it off my tbr Elise! Can't wait to hear what you think of it :)
