Julia FYI for any JD Robb fans; a new In Death book to be released 02/21/12 - title celebrity in death.

Karen Parker great, im looking forward to it.

Sheila Cottrill I finished it a couple days ago. I am a huge fan and have read every book in this series as soon as it was released. I have to say ,I was a little disappointed. I didn't feel it was well written. While eve does seem to be appreciating her friends and their love for her, there was just something lacking in the story. I felt that there was no backbone to the story. This the only book of hers I gave 3 stars to.

Dcf260 It did seem to focus more on the relationships between the characters than on an actual mystery. But I love the characters and the world so I'm willing to read extra bits of filler until the next book.

Jamitzka I think that this book had to pause sue to the fact that death in dallas had so much going on, I mean eve is not a paranormal she is human, so she could burnout, so I was happy that jd aka nora let this book be a breath of fresh air

Paula I loved this book. Sometimes we all need a breath of fresh air and the underlying story in this series of books is the great love between Eve and Roarke. Love when they have to get dressed up to go to some kind of event and Roarke lays out her clothes from top to bottom and then the jewelry that goes with it. My favorite part is Eve always asking "Did I always have this?"
In this book it shows that no matter what a hard ass detective and excellent detective she is, she finally let her guard down when she let Roarke in. I am sure everyone has one great love in their life and the fun part is that it's futuristic so they can eat the best of meals by programming their auto chef.
It allows you to escape into a beautiful world of fantasy.
Somerset is the funniest of characters. Eve has finally learned to live with him by throwing jabs at him and picking fights, but knowing that her beloved Roarke wouldn't be the man he is today without having had him in his life.
I recommend this book to everyone. Can't wait for the next chapter in Eve's life.

Katherine I also like how Eve finally called Summerset instead of Roarke about the transportation. She didn't run to Roarke like she normally does. NOT that I have a problem with when she does that; he's her husband and she should go to him. But I think it showed a little maturity when she called "the corpse" instead. The characters are still developing after 30 books, and that's awesome to me.

I agree. I think it's awesome that JD takes the time to let us know what's going on in the other characters' lives since they are so much a part of who Eve has become.

Sheri Morell I absolutely loved this book..i was not disappointed at all. I think it was well written and i just love seeing how much Eve has grown throughout the series. after what she went through in NY2D and dealing with the effects afterward it was a breath of fresh air.

message 10: by Jane (new) - rated it 2 stars

Jane Carlson I love this series but I felt this book to be a bit slower moving than earlier books and repetitive.
