Mad Scientist wrote: "I couldn't get into Shatter Me. Does it get better?"Yes, especially towards the end. Plus, at the end, Juliette begins to become less annoying! The next book will either make, or break the series though. She leaves alot of potential at the end of the book that could make the next book spectacular. Anyways, I gave the book 3.5 stars overall, which is pretty generous in my opinion. I definitely liked it better than I thought I would!

Let me know how you like this one! I was going to check it out from the library, but for some reason, the cover turned me off.
Never heard of dust girl. I'll have to check it out. Currently Reading

I finished it on Tuesday night and I really liked it. If you want to know more about what I thought of it, I wrote a review and posted on Goodreads and my blog.
I'm going to start
soon.
Way to read Megan! I really LOVED The Adoration of Jenna Fox. I think mostly because it is unlike just about any other book I have read.
{Finished Reading}
heart aching and beautiful!{Currently Reading}
I've never read a Sherlock Holmes book, I'm thinking this will be a fun read! {Current Listen}
I finished
at the tail end of last year. As the mother of a teenager daughter I was heart-broken and appalled at the way the mother behaved.I have
on the pile for my paranormals challenge but as I suspect it will one of the better novels I'm saving it for later.At present I am finishing
which is OK. It's better than almost all other paranormal romance I've read but then that's not saying much.

I'm working on reading every night before I go to bed, and it's working pretty well! Last night, I started
Tell me a Secret was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much but that made it even better. I can't imagine having a baby that early nor my mother turning me away. I just hope my 10 year has learned how to treat a female and will make sure nothing of the sort happens. I tell him all the time that if he does he will have to go to school, then work, then take care of the baby and he will not let it slip. Responsibility of a child is nothing to sluff at. He knows. One can't be waiting for the school to drill this into their heads.Looks like a good one, Aneeqah!

Yeah, but I'm reading my library books that are overdue. Good thing I don't pay fines for overdue books since I work at my local library.
MS- I love Day! He was probably one of the highlights of the story for me. Amy- You lucky duck! I wish I didn't have to pay fines!
Our library system makes their employees pay fines like everyone. Even worse, I think they don't get the same courtesy as regular library patrons. We can keep borrowing until we hit $10 in fines- so you can have $6 in fines until you have to renew your library card. Then you have to pay it off. Library employees have until their next pay period to pay fines or it comes off their checks.
Anneqah: Yeah, but the bad part is since I work there, I can't check out new dvds or new music cds, but I'm able to check out new books.MS: My older brother one time checked out a cd from the library, but couldn't find it in time to return it and had to pay for a replacement. Funny thing is the cd is found, but it was already too late to refund his money.
Shay: I never knew some libraries do that.
Shay wrote: "Our library system makes their employees pay fines like everyone. Even worse, I think they don't get the same courtesy as regular library patrons. Mad Scientist wrote: "Shay wrote: "Our library system makes their employees pay fines like everyone. Even worse, I think they don't get the same courtesy as regular library patrons. We can keep borrowing until we hit $1..."There was a job at the library in Children's Services (sounds vaguely obscene, doesn't it but it's a step below a regular Children's librarian and they do a lot of the story time and other stuff). So, I asked someone I know who works at the library. They are not allowed to borrow books before they enter circulation. That is not a job perk. Someone tracks how long it takes for books to hit the shelves from the time the central processing delivers them to the branch. If it takes too long, it affects job ratings. If you are caught removing library property without permission... not good. They have to put in a request for new books like everyone else. And, they are warned that if they put in requests while they are on the clock, that's also a no-no. (In fact, the library puts out the new book lists after library hours)
Oh, and I've never gotten a new book that's been any less than pristine and perfect. So, I know it must be serious.
I loved The Alchemyst! I'm planning on re-reading the series this year, because the last book of the series comes out May 8th.
Aneeqah wrote: "I loved The Alchemyst! I'm planning on re-reading the series this year, because the last book of the series comes out May 8th."We should all read it?
Ok... I've been picking up crappy, well boring books. So I opened up another to get me out of the rut. It is just tooo early in the year for this!
This is the fourth in the Jane True series, the 5th comes out this year!Counts for 1.) one of the colors red or purplish blue 2.) Further in the series 12x12 3.) US roadtrip - Maine 4.) 300+ pages

Ive got nothing new. I've been holed up at the hospital. My gallbladder has been screaming at me. I've been too drugged to read.
Aneeqah: Cool! :)Mad: Oh, that is not good. A few of my relatives had to have theirs removed. I hope you'll feel better soon!
Mad Scientist wrote: "Ive got nothing new. I've been holed up at the hospital. My gallbladder has been screaming at me. I've been too drugged to read."That is sad! My sister had problems with hers during her freshman year in college. Hope you get better soon.

Thanks ladies. I have pain pills and I'll see a specialists tomorrow. From there I'll know more. I just hope there is an option besides removal. I just wish the pain pill would get rid of this headache.

She went ahead and scheduled the removal surgery because she doesn't want to have another pain attack. It's just not a good time for gall bladders. =( I hope your pain goes away, M.S.
