Herb Mallette | 8 comments I'm a longtime fantasy author who's recently embarked on a self-publishing career. This is a thread for the first of my self-published novels, The Last Tragedy.

The Last Tragedy by Herb Mallette

Two of the world's greatest adventurers have disappeared, and it falls to their heirs - Jake Warbler and the half-sprite Noxie - to retrace their steps and understand these dark, mysterious vanishings. The only clues point to history's most famous work of unread literature: the Last Tragedy of Coeldoetta of Jueln. But the Tragedy has eluded all seekers for nearly fifteen hundred years. Can Jake and Noxie succeed where so many others have failed? And can they do so while outpacing a bloody-minded cult that seems to have undone the two most powerful figures in their lives?

This book is the first in my Warbler Family Chronicles, and is followed by a trilogy, the Aveliad. I strive to be both high-minded and adventuresome in my writing, because I have something to say but hate books that say something without being entertaining along the way. If you like thoughtful and exciting fantasy books about engaging characters, I'd ask you to click through to Amazon and give the sample pages a try.

Many thanks!
