I would pick dork diaries cause its more girly. Diary of a wimpy kid is like more boyish. But I still like it. But perfer dork diaries
I'd say Diary of a Wimpy Kid, because girls can enjoy it as well as boys. But Dork Diaries is way too girly for most boys.
Both books are equally good! But, personally i think diary of a wimpy kid is mostly for boys and Dork diaries is mostly for girls. Not being sexist or anything though!

I know! I stopped reading the book because of her brattiness. I've seen much better heroines. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is okay, (I didn't like it so much) but it's much better than what I read of Dork Diaries.

They are both amazing books, but I have to go with DWK personally.
i think it depends on gender. Dork Diaries obviously caters to girls, while Diary of a Wimpy Kid is for both, maybe leaning a bit towards boys. It really depends on the reader
I like both, but i prefer diary of a wimpy kid because the drawings are a little more basic, whereas dork diaries is a little complex.
I think they are both awesome! But, I think Dork Diaries is best

I don't like dork diaries, I hate how she treats her family like that, she should be thankful for the gifts they give her. If she doesn't like it can't she sell it on Ebay or any websites like that? If she doesn't have any money, can't she just get a job? Or if she can't, she should help out on mowing the lawn or do chores around the house, or help out her neighbours.
I have another reason why I don't like Dork diaries, I hate how she wants to be popular, and when something happens, like that part in the birthday thing, and the talent show thing, when Nikki thought it would be an awesome idea to be friends with Mackenzie, I was like "WHAT?!" How rude is that?! It's like betraying your friends for some stuck-up popular girl. Can't she be more considerate?! Have she even ever thought how her friends would feel?! Well, that's what I hate about it! DOTWK main character also wants to be popular, but he never thought the same thing Nikki did!
Diary of the wimpy kid all the way, It has more humour than DD, The enemy of the series is Rodrick, or maybe Manny also. The cheese enemy in the first book was hilarious! That's what I LOVE about it! Not just some popular girl which is boring because it's getting way too common. DOTWK has lighter romance and less drama.

Well both books are great it depends if you like girly books go pick DOrk DIaries if you like Boyish books pick Diary of a wimpy kid
I like both books because Greg and Nikki are EXACTLY the same. They are both losers in school trying to be popular but from two different sides. Girl v.s boy
Wimpy kid. If DOAWK didn't exist, then their wouldn't exist either. All those diary books are inspirations from Kinnys work.
Dork Diaries. As a father of two daughters who are rapidly closing in on Middle School, I was happy to see them reading Dairy of a Wimpy Kid because I'd heard it was good and liked seeing as much reading as possible in my house. Then I actually read the first book and that was the end of its presence in my house. I threw them away. The main character is a jerk and a terrible role model for children. The way he treats his friend is horrifying. Dork Diaries aren't perfect, but at least Nikki comes across as a nice person. She makes mistakes, but she isn't the sort who would walk all over her friends for her own self-aggrandizement. Greg, on the other hand, spends the vast majority of the first Wimpy Kid book being entirely self-centered and not caring in the slightest for anyone other than himself.
The only good thing about Wimpy Kid book is that it gave me a chance to explain to my daughters why those books were not allowed in the house. They might be funny, but any parent that has a child acting like that would/should feel extremely disappointed in that child's choices. Why anyone would want their child reading those books and thinking such behavior is "funny" is beyond me...

Gee, Im not sure! There both super funny and entertaining. But Lillian's right. But maybe girls didn't like it and they decided to make a new addition that girls would like better. I am so not sure!
