Is there a book that has all a great book needs to have? To me this is THE ONE! I won't over praise it just to keep expectations at a reasonable level. I just finished re-reading it after 20 years or so, and its better than I remembered.
Iain Banks 'the Culture' is where I would love to live. This is a sci-fi book accesible to everybody and that's sci-fi just as a frame (as it should be)
