This is what she said "I was so surprised and delighted by readers asking about Joe Travis, since I'd never planned on writing his story. I mentioned to my editor this past summer that I would like to write a book for Joe, and she seemed to like the idea, so I think it will happen! (And I would like to start it right in his hospital room, just after the event near the end of "Smooth Talking Stranger.")". So there is always hope!"

That is awesome. I love this series. Sorry for not joining in guys. Things just didn't work out. I may end up reading this one next week and answer then if I can find the time. I still plan on rereading this one.

Though I really, really love the epilogue, on some of the read-throughs I've thought that a romance book should end with the focus on the H/h. I wondered if she was going overboard with the baby love. But I really like what you said; makes it work better for me with that in mind.

That's okay, Lisarenee! If you post answers to the DQs, I'll be glad to respond. Certainly, when Joe's story is written, we'll do another "buddy read".

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I never noticed the ratings before. Did you see how we can view on the message line what people rated the book? That's kind of neat.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Yeah, if the person who started the tread adds the the book in the "This topic is about (book title or author's name)" field, then it will show each person's rating.

1. I know you've said that Jack is your favourite hero in the series. Why is that? And who is your #2 and #3. And why?
(1) Jack – This is so hard to answer! If I said it was because of that tool belt, would you think less of me? LOL! I love that he is thoughtful, that his passion overruled his common sense in that garage. I hate it when a couple doesn’t use protection, but for some reason, that scene really worked for me. He is just so much more of a Texan that Gage is. I loved Gage's power & sophistication for the longest time, but then when Jack “grew-up” and started his own company, plus he was a “man’s man” plus all Gage’s P&S – POW! I fell in love. LOL!

(2) Gage – love his power and sophistication – that he is more reserved, but still only wanted Liberty

(3) Hardy – Love, love, love Hardy. Still, he let Liberty go. Which I understand, when he was so young. Yet, he didn’t try to track her down. He found her at that party, he didn’t search for her. Then there is that whole bio-fuel thing, which, really, I forgive him for.

2. What about the heroines - Liberty, Haven and Ella. What is your order of preference and why?
(1) Liberty – Just LOVE her. She is kinder than the others, IMHO. Love the Ugly Duckling aspect of her hardship story. She gave up so much because of the love of her sister. Maybe it is b/c I know so much more of her story.

(2) Ella – I think I can relate to her the most.

(3) Haven – Her story is really so sad that it is hard for me to re-read it. Glad you all were there for our “buddy read” – I think I enjoyed it more because you ladies were there and supported me.

3. Is this one Smooth Talking Stranger your favourite of the series?
Yup.

4. You've read this series a number of times. What is it that so resonates with you? And is there another book/series that you've re-read as much?
I don’t know. Maybe Luke is a big factor? Just love that cute little helpless baby. Loved Sugar Daddy, but it took a while for Gage to enter the picture.

Also, did we cover this from question #12?

<>??

LOL! Well, nothing too, too big. Just that there is a little tiny part of me that believes:
a) Jack was looking for his mother and found her in Ella. His birth mother took on Gage to raise when he was just a toddler.

b) A little tiny part of Jack wanted to take away a woman from another man – just like what happened to him with Ashley. Not that I think that was the attraction. Or even that he really stole her from Dane. I agree with him on that point that the relationship was over when Dane wasn’t there for her. Just that Jack really, really wanted Ella and he wasn’t going to let the fact that Dane all but kicked her out of the house if she kept that baby – he certainly wasn’t going to let him get her back!

Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* (ladyjayne) | 155 comments Sorry I couldn't join you gals but looks like you had a blast! I've just been so tired after my last 2 busy weekends, that I ended up catching up on sleep and reading, this weekend.

Haven't had a chance to read your questions and answers but will do so later this week, okay? Hope to re-read the book, too!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Wonderful, Jayne! And don't worry about it. It is all supposed to be FUN, remember? ☺

Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* (ladyjayne) | 155 comments But you ladies always have such great questions and discussion points! I wish I could have joined in in the thick of things!

Make sure you're available for Joe's story when we do the buddy-read. Okay?"

LMAO!!! For sure! I'd love to do a buddy-read of Joe's book!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Oh, yeah. That's right. Jayne was "tied up" - LMAO!
