Whichbook... | 1 comments Hi, I'm looking for this old Harlequin book that I read about 10 years ago which was probably published way before that.
Story as I remember:
Lead Lady: Amnesiac girl, Daphnee or Martine or something kinda frenchie (?)
Lead Gentleman: Rich guy from the city, (Gideon?)
Other main character: lead lady's granpa

At the very beginning of the book, the girl is standing on a cliff looking down at the sea, (in Cornwall?) a male rush out of his car to help her thinking she was about to harm herself.
They striked up conversation, she found out he was from the city, (a lawyer?). He went home with her and met her granpa, whom she lives with. The granpa had a tense reaction to the stranger.
Almost toward the ends and after falling in love with him, she found out the stranger was her estranged husband, whom she saw with a woman (5 years ago?) And ran out of the building, got hit by(a cab?) and lost the baby she was carrying and her memory, so her granpa took her back home with him and made the husband promise not to come near her.
I think she recovered her memory thru another trauma to the head while back in the city.

Anything? I so want to read it again. I have so many Harlequins I read as a child and want to read again but, I don't remember the titles, just bits of the stories.
Please, help!

Whichbook, are you still looking for this book?

Sherri | 74 comments Sounds like "Crescendo" by Charlotte Lamb. The main characters are Marina and Gideon, the story is exactly as you describe.
