I don't understand how the Worldcat listing for a 70th anniversary edition shows a 1995 publication date (1937 + 70 = 2007)

I don't know about WorldCat, but the Tolkien Library reports the following:
The 1995 edition is labeled First Printing of the Reset "Fifth UK Edition". See http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/booksbytolkien/hobbit/editions.htm
The US version of 70th Anniversary Edition (ISBN-10: 0618968636) was published September 2007. See http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/press/The_Hobbit_70th_Anniversary_Edition.php.
The UK equivalent was published as part of The Hobbit 70th Anniversary Collectors Edition. See http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/press/THE_HOBBIT_Anniversary_Collectors_edition.php.
The 75th Anniversary Edition (ISBN-10: 0-00-744083-9) will not be released by the publisher until 2012. See http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/press/997-The_Hobbit_Facsimile_Edition.php
I hope this information helps.

This one. As far as I can tell someone incorrectly changed the cover back in October 2010 & then the other changes in late Jan. A couple of page number updates relating to this misc 70th Anniversary edition were also done a couple times since.
I've cleared all that up on my copy but I wasn't sure how to go about sorting through 400+ editions other than checking the isbn with worldcat. Never done a big cleanup like some of you lovelies take on.

This is a case where WorldCat is in error. Any edition prior to the 2007 edition is NOT the 70th Anniversary issue. See post 4 for details.
This is the 70th Anniversary Edition.
Can I just revert it back to how it was in January or should I try to piece together the actual 70th anniversary edition first?
