Sandra Almazan | 2 comments Do people count books started in 2011 toward this challenge? Does it matter how far you got in the book before the start of the new year?

Genevieve Petrillo | 2 comments How can I get that neat little bar graph that counts my books to show up on my blog?

When you click "read", you need to also check the box next to whatever you named your shelf to add it to that shelf. Only books you add to that shelf will count. I hope that makes sense. :)

I would count each book individually. I count audiobooks because I was in the reading challenge last year and that's what we did. I'm in school full time plus and I have a 2.5 hr commute time per day, so I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I have very little time to read, but this fulfills my need for reading. So count your audiobooks or don't, but I'm counting mine. :) Once I'm done listening to it, I do get the feel of having read it- it works for me. :)

I agree with Kristin. I commute as well and do have a busy schedule. There are times that I will listen to the audio recording and at times, I will re-listen to it and take notes if it is a business platform book.

Saritha Riju (sarithariju) | 2 comments Hi, do books that have been re-read count towards the challenge or does it have to be the first reading only of a book?

I would count any book that you read this year, so that would include re-reads. :) I only re-read 1 book last year but I counted it.

Amy (evila_elf) | 1 comments Question: How do you get a book to NOT show up in the reading count? I have a special Abandoned shelf for books that I just couldn't finish, but they are being added in my count (The Abandoned shelf replaces the Read shelf when I use it.)

I think if you make sure the box next to whatever you have named this shelf is unchecked, it shouldn't show up in your count. You should be able to click edit review, then choose shelf.

That's a good idea to have an abandoned shelf! I've never thought of that. :)

Angel I like the abandoned shelf idea!

So I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but since this is a group that doesn't limit itself to a certain genre or two, can we do the same type year long challenges in threads here? Or would anyone mind if I started those?

ie:
A-Z Book Titles
A-Z Authors
A-Z Male/Female Characters
New Authors Challenge
New Series Challenge
etc?

Moira (11moira) | 1 comments Hi, I was wondering if short novellas that are only 50-90 pages count? I'm on a gap year and want to set a high goal, but a lot of them aren't very long!

sola (sola2004) Hi, I finished my reading challenge today and wondered if it is possible to publish the result on facebook and how?
