Predictions for Love Triangle in Clockwork Princess
I know exactly what you mean, it hadn't even been a full day engaged to Jem before she had already kissed Will, I was expecting at least some resistance. Anyway, for the love triangle I think at the end of 'Princess it will be;Will and Tessa
Sophie and Gideon
Cecily and Jem (if he doesn't die)
i think it should be:Will and Tessa
Cecily and Gabriel
Jem and Sophie
or Tessa dosn't end up with either Jem or Will, I think it would actually be good if that happend cuz if she chose one of them that would ruin Jem and Will's friendship

As much as I'm trying to figure out how this love triangle is going to play out, I'm keep re-remembering that Tessa's immortal. so it doesn't really matter who she ends up with cause they couldn't last long anyways.

Taking that into hand I think that it will end with Tessa turning out to be as mortal as the next person (always wanted to say that) or that Magnus will work some hocus pokus with his magic fingers and make whoever Tessa chose immortal as well, and if it is Will she picks then there is a good chance of this happening because I think Magnus has a little crush on this particular shadow-hunter.

But if Tessa is immortal don't you think that maybe Cassie would have mentioned her in The Mortal Instruments??? And how do we know that that lady from the Lightwood Ball wasn't lying?? It happened in City of Ashes, with the Faerie Queen, she didn't lie but neither did she tell Jace and Clary what they were exactly.
I'm thinking the ending will be a little different than Will and Tessa ending up together and everyone pairing off, for a neat finish. It shouldn't be that easy! I think it's safe to say that Tessa and Jem won't stay together, because what would be the point of having a third book if the outcome is the samee..... Anyway, even though I'm gonna be hated for saying this, I really feel that one of the following outcomes is likely:1. Jem dies, or maybe becomes a silent brother and leaves Will and Tessa to it?
2. Will finds somebody else to love
3. Tessa dies (gasp! is she really immortal?) |:

OK, a few things. First off, Tessa WAS mentioned in the City of Glass, when Clary saw her talking to Magnus. However, since we now know that some Shadowhunters can see ghosts, we can't eliminate the possibility that Tessa was mortal and Clary can just see ghosts. Clare herself said that we don't know whether Tessa is immortal or ghost in this scene.Second: Clare said that she believes that who Tessa does or does not end up with will be a surprise to the reader, but fitting to the story. She also said that the end would be "bittersweet." So she either leaves them both or seems to be leaning towards a certain one for most of the story then changes her mind at the last second.
Third: Jem is awesome, yes, but I am most certainly NOT team Jem. Jem is best friend material: steady, comforting . . . Will is more than that. Throughout the book, Bridget's songs tend to reflect tessa's moods or thoughts (Nate trying to kill her, unrequited love, etc.). At the end, remember how when Jem announces their *SPOILER* engagement, Bridget sings a song that says that true love's name is "Sweet William"? I think that that shows where tessa's heart may be leaning, even if she won't admit it to herself because of Jem.
Fourth: Tessa continuously has to remind herself that she loves Jem, and remind herself NOT to think of Will. Again: best friend versus the love interest.
Fifth: Clare says that Jem loves tessa. She also says that Will loves Tessa in that way which can never be found again in a lifetime. So the question that, I believe, will resolve where Tessa's heart will end up with, is which one loves THE OTHER most: Will or Jem? And if they're the same, what will Tessa do?

I will literally cry my eyes out if Jem dies as Cassandra Clare has done a magnificent job of creating such a loveable character. I was kind of surprised about the whole marriage proposal thing, but I did know Jem loved Tessa. The thing for me is that I prefer Will and Tessa together. I don't know why, I just think they have more chemistry. I adore Jem, and I am dreading the fact that he may get his heart broken, but I also love Will and Tessa together.I love the idea of Jem and Cecily together, I think that would be amazing. But can Jem love Cecily like he loves Tessa?
Clockwork Prince was one of the most amazing books I've ever read, and I have no doubt Clockwork Princess will be just as good. Apparently, Clare has said we will be surprised at who Tessa ends up with, but that it will be a suitable end. So who knows?
I feel bad saying this but I kinda don't feel bad for Will. I understand that when he was 12 and oblivious to demons that he thought the demon curse was real and that is y he left his family... but i feel like he should of realized that his sister died from demon poison as he was learning about shadow hunting and demons... not forever think she just spontaneously com-busted in her sleep. Anyhoo, Im kinda team Jem even though I don't think Tessa will end up with any of them. And personally i think its smart to marry your "best friend". I would want too.
either way it dosn't matter because if you anyone has read magnus's vow at the end of Clockwork Angel knows that Tessa lives forever and the others die...so yea

Its an impossible situation, but what she has with will is true love they have so many similarities, such as their love for books and poetry. The passion between them is so real and she will never be able to get him out of her mind. I feel bad for Jem but the love she has for him is different more of a protective friendship love but not the passion and tangible love she has with Will. That scene with her and will at the end broke my heart, they have to end up together!!!!
Also I didn't notice that about the songs, but now that you pointed it out your so right!

I think she is... there is a part in CoFA where magnus is thinking of a girl with brown hair and a serious face, and he thinks, "in a life where everything was changing, she was one of the few remaining constants."
So, I think she is immortal... and faeries can't lei... I mean she could have twisted the truth but how do you twist "you won't age past youth?"

Yeah ... i agree with Alisa, that Tessa is most probably immortal. But then again, Cassie Clare can always make an interesting twist in the end. Either way, I think the sad fact is that in the long run, Tessa will not/can't end up with either Jem orWill :( I think she'll outlive them both :(
After having read Clockwork Angel, I was pretty sure that Tessa would end up with Will. It seemed like the natural course of the series. So I was very surprised at what happened in Clockwork Prince. I think Tessa is immortal, so who she will end up with is hard to know. I just don't want Jem to die...

Do you remember what page or chapter? Also, I believe Jem is going to die without giving Tessa to Will and Tessa wont feel right being with Will after the fact. Thats my prediction. I just cant wait to see what happens.
I think I might go insane waiting for CP2...

What I'm worried about is that when Jem dies, "he'll take all that's human about Will with him" (as Charlotee said in Clockwork Prince). And... well, I just can't see Will moving to Tessa after Jem dies even though Jem gave Will his blessing. Because to Will, Tessa will always be the girl his best friend loved.
Anyone suspicious about that strange cook who keeps singing those sad songs? Any guesses about her story?

And I mentioned something like that about her being a ghost. Wouldn't it be odd? Maybe she dies but she's immortal so she doesn't really die? Then Cassandra leaves us with a heartbreak but not so much that we totally hate it. It would be an interesting twist...
I had a thought that maybe Will would sacrifice himself somehow to save Jem's life, but that can't work because Will's surname is Herondale, and he has to survive so that he can have children that go on to become characters in TMI (not to give away any spoilers). He only has one sister and if she has children, surely they would take the name of their father. So it has to be Will. But if Tessa is immortal it also means she can't have children, which means that she and Will can't be together. There's going to be a twist in this storyline when we find out exactly what Tessa is.
I always thought it was obvious that Jem would die and that Tessa and Will would be together but if Clare is saying that it will be a surprise who she ends up with, then I'm completely confused!
And I can't believe we have a whole year to wait to find out!
I guess I am just hoping that Jem could somehow turn out to be bad because if he did die then I wouldn't feel bad about him dying :( I do really like Jem, he is really kind and good and thoughtful and handsome...although I think he is more of friend material for Tessa. *SPOILER ALERT* (for Clockwork Prince): I must say, the kissing scene between Jem and Tess was HOT!!!!!! I have the audiobook, so I listened to that part about 3 or 4 times before moving on. I'm still Team Will, though. He is the ultimate hottie, right alongside Jace. (I listened to the balcony scene over again too)
I hope that Jem gets cured, but somehow I doubt he will be :( I'm thinking that he might get some kind of brave death, like dying in battle and saving tessa's life. then tessa will probably be all over Will and he'll be too torn apart by Jem's death and guilt that he loves tessa, who was going to marry his best friend, to get into a relationship with her. He'll spend the next however-many-books trying to push her away (again), until at the last one he finally realizes that he loves Tessa too much, or he does something very stupid and gets himself killed or runs away or something. Won't tessa end up alone anyway, if she's immortal? Jem and Will aren't, i don't think...so it doesn't have that happy ending vibe for me. :\ (TEAM WILL:D)

Well maybe Jem will turn into a vampire. That is possible right? And Tessa and Will might get together but Will will have to die due to unknown reasons yet and told Tessa to move on. Or vice versa. and it will be a tragic love story. But i think Magnus has a crush on Will. seriously. (I'm team Will. but i love Jem too cause he play the violin <3)
And maybe Tessa's existence is just a masterpiece of someone. Maybe she's not a warlock or anything. Maybe she could control the clockwork people because she is one of them. the greatest masterpiece. there's so much possibilities.
I can't see will and tessa riding off to the sunset after jem dies. I just can't see will walk away with the girl his dead best friend loved.ps: it really annoys me when people say jem should die and tessa and will can be togather.
For those who say that Tessa is "immortal" Cassie has said that it could be Tessa as a ghost......I am team Will but i think that it will be too harsh for Jem to die, i mean that would be predictable and just harsh. Yes Jem dies, Will/Tessa's problem solved but what about Jem? His innocents can kill me, i personally hope that Jem finds out the passionate bond between Tessa and Will and let Tessa go. Sometimes to love is to let go....

It happened..."Tessa did show in the mortal instruaments..She was in City of glass at the end when everyone is celebrating and Clare looks over and see Magnus talking to a woman in white I believe..Clary thought to herself that she looked familiar. We just weren't given a name to the face..Clare answered that question on her web-site.....

I do too, WILL!!!! IS THE BEST! I must say we are kind of sad falling in love with a book character, but still who gives a crap

Also I KNOW Tessa will slip up and kiss Will in Clockwork Princess, (as she did in Prince) so there will be too many inconsistencies in her relationship with Jem for her to be confident that she made the right choice in saying yes to him.
