Katie Stewart (katiewstewart) | 1099 comments Can anyone tell me anything about how to understand the Goodreads stats on a book? According to my stats, 45 people have 'added' Treespeaker. But when I go to the Treespeaker page, there's only 34 and one person, who I know has read and rated it is no longer there - even though it still shows up on his page. I can't see a 'page 2' button anywhere.

Have you checked all the "editions". Goodreads gets its information about a book from elsewhere, several places, and duplications are commonplace. Nobody cleans out the duplicates until the author arrives, and even then the assistance of a librarian might be necessary.

Compare the system on KB, where you have to list the book as yours before they call forward the date from Amazon *after* you have associated the book with the data.

Katie Stewart (katiewstewart) | 1099 comments There is another version, exactly the same, so I've written to ask them to combine them - it won't let me do it. I don't know where the other version came from. I suppose someone else loaded it without looking to see if it was already there first.

Katie Stewart (katiewstewart) | 1099 comments Well they haven't combined the books yet, but I now have a page 2. It must have been another Goodreads glitch.
