I used to try to defend myself (or contemplate manslaughter), now I just ignore it. I'm not a quitter either. A friend recently described me as self-depreciating but stubborn. A strange combination. So when this worm turns, it's a bit surprising for everyone. My relatives have grown more wary with time. :)

Hey my fairy tale that received two 1 star ratings on Barnes and Noble, just had a 5 star one. I noticed when I was searching the site for another writer's book details (rescuing them for GR).

Feels good. Long live difference.

I've been doing a series of blog posts on my self-publishing plan/decision (alternating with posts about the craft of writing). My most recent post is titled "Stop the Insanity! Publicity Can Wait." In other recent posts, I've talked about why I'm writing shorter novels and why I committed fully to self-publishing. You can start here and scroll down:

or else click on the "self-publishing" label. These are just my thoughts and opinions, of course, but based on years of industry experience and an attempt to understand the new era.
