It's a psychological thriller about a girl who suffers at the hands of her own temper, and finds a place where she can be "cured". This place isn't as it seems though, which she quickly finds out.

... That's pretty much the basics of it. I'm not the best at explaining the plot. ^_^;;

I'm still working on doing the basic editing for the first chapter, but I have written four chapters so far. Should be about 13 chapters by the end, based on my outline... so hopefully no more than a year. (At least for the basics.) ^_^;;

Hi I'm Gillian! It's pronounced like Jill-ian. I've been writing since I was four years old and have wanted to be a writer ever since. I often acquire writer's block which can be annoying but when I get ideas they all sort of spill out over the page and it's wonderful. I like using "big" (according to the people I went to middle school with) vocabulary and I enjoy writing fanfiction, science fiction, romance, and realistic fiction. I like writing poem/stories if that makes sense, like a story derived from an original poem. I also am a huge grammar and spelling-Nazi. :D

Great to have you! Hopefully you'll find some help with your writer's block. When I have writer's block, I've personally found it helpful to listen to calm, slow music (sometimes), take a break and read somebody else's book, or go for a walk.

I think Jul's suggestion was about right - some relaxing, freely-flowing music would be good for you to try to erase that wall in your inner workings. :)

I'm Vickie a.k.a Serlina from the Caribbean island of DOMINICA (:-) nope not the Dominican Republic). I am a big fan of Nature, and seeing my island is filled with Nature & is known as the 'Nature Isle of the Caribbean', I have decided to use it as inspiration for my stories/writing. I Love reading and I also like writing (well typing). I was grown up reading - no toys to be played with, my mom thought books were better to have instead of toys.

I am currently working on my first Romance Novel, my poems and a short story featuring a storm which my home island just endured. I have been writing ever since I was a child, but never paid attention to the stories i wrote until recently when I went through a life changing situation. In my stories - my writing - and poems I have used my emotions, actual events or things that may have happened to me, I have also described places found in my island and a few other locations. I have also exaggerated a few things in the story.

I chose the topic:

I am not too strong on the gramma and punctuation, but I am working on it. Also the way the Caribbean island people speak - especially my island home Dominican people speaks - may differ from the English you may know.

I hope to make new friends, also gain useful and wonderful insights, suggestions, positive & constructive critics & advice as well as lots of help in assisting me to complete my book. I also plan to assist in anyways I can if you need a friend or a person to bounce ideas off.

I hope your Romance novel and short stories pan out, because it sounds like you thoroughly understand what you wish to write and what it's all about for you. :)

I'm also happy that you enjoy nature and draw encouragement from it's surroundings. There is no such inspiration that can beat nature and ones own experience.

As the saying goes - "Waste not, want not!"
Harvest those experiences and emotion!

English is not my primary language, and I still have a long way to go with learning it but, I'm dramatically improved by reading in English, a lot so, I hope I don't make many mistakes.

I'm recently done with my first book. It's a new adult, contemporary romance, about a young girl who lost everything but, stays strong and didn't give up.
Book about family, friendship, love, with lots of humor and very attractive, sexy Russian.
The title is "Samo budi tu" or in English "Just be there“

Maybe some day I translate it for you, or find somebody to do it for me but, until then, If among you is someone who knows the Serbian, Croatian or Bosnian language, its free for download.
