I never could like Susan

Jukang Liwayway Lucy & Reepicheep.. and their cousin, whatshisname?

I think the cousin you meant was Eustace Scrubb. He was Edmund and Lucy's cousin. Eustace is my favorite character. Not evil, just a spoilt brat who was completely redeemed. How often does a writer take the time to do that? I agree with Nicole, Susan was my least favorite character too. She just never seemed genuine.

yeah yeah! eustace! i like him... also in the movies, he is funny.. also one of the more three-dimensional characters in the book..

Susan i think is a depiction of women at those times.. bred to be obliging, taught to act with good manners and be pretty and find a man and be a good housewife... very one-dimensional characterization... but the author did punish her at the last book didnt he? LOL

brooke1994 Cool. I'm answering my own question but mine has to be Susan and Trufflehunter

Dear Prince caspian and Susan, they're mature and brave. Oh Peter is my fav too :)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

All of them (except Susan I didn't like what she did in the end :( )

Sammy Kammy I liked the white witch because she was BA lol. I don't think you have to like characters because they're good, i believe you can like characters just for being interesting, and she defiantly was that. She was evil dressed in beauty, a deadly combination and a worthy foe for all of Narnia. And i can never not think of her when ever it snows...

Julia I most admire Aslan because he's so gentle and kind with the children and he's a good protecter. I wish he was my pet lion!!!!! Just don't eat me please!!!!!

message 42: by C. J. (new) - added it

C. J. Scurria K. Other. Also so far all of them (I have yet to read The Last Battle. I am 24 and I realize as I grow more spiritually the stories make more and more sense.)

Sadly, I relate to Eustace before I knew Christ. I was not a good kid. But even that "terrible person" who turned into a wretched creature (who could save a wretch like a dragon. . ?) it was still savable by Aslan.

message 43: by anon (new) - rated it 4 stars

anon I definitely admired all the characters however my favourite was probably Reepicheep.

He was the brave little one who did not show his strength but the strength in his faithfulness in Aslan!

Nicole D. Michaela wrote: "Eh... Probably Edmund. But I like them all! It's one of those series where you can't pick a favorite character!"

I really like Edmund too.I like how he mended his ways. How he became a just and wise king.I agree it is hard to pick a favorite but the only charactor I never liked was Susan.

C. J. Scurria "Nicole wrote: "I agree it is hard to pick a favorite but the only charactor I never liked was Susan."

I might understand if people explain. Why dislike Susan? I learned in a book that is a "guide to Narnia" that Susan though she is used by Aslan is a doubter compared to Lucy.

But I see how her character is strong. She is an archer, a warrior. She even proved the red dwarf wrong that when he did not believe they were what the prophecy said was them.

She aimed the arrow. . . and hit the apple dead on. She is gentle but she will hit that target if need be like a soldier. . .

message 47: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 I liked the fox, even though he has a short part. He's hot in the movie <3

Megan I suppose you are referring to characters from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe only? In that case, I like Lucy, Aslan, and the fox. The last one sounds rather odd as a favorite, but the minor role that he plays (both in the book and the movie) struck a certain cord in me. I guess it's because I can relate to him in a way - how he is torn between loyalty to Aslan and Narnia and wanting to save his own skin.

Yeah, in this case, I'm only referring to that. Foxes are one of my fave animals

Megan Foxes are one of my favorite animals too. :) (Sorry for being a little off topic, but I just had to blurt that out.)
