C. J. Scurria It is really encouraging how C. S. Lewis managed to have characters of all kinds personality-wise so one can not find a bunch of people who are consistent or seem the same. That is the joy of writing children-type books I guess. . . to never look down on the audience.

Kelly Digory--who becomes the professor!

Karen Jill -- I always identified with her struggles at school.

Delaney I. The fox was my favorite character because he was courageous and willing to help strangers he had just barely met in order to save Narnia.

Emilyn Kracher digory
puddleglum
ripicheap
jewel

Kamalika Talukdar the 4 siblings,Aslan, prince Caspian and all the other characters

message 59: by Anya (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anya Aslan.. I get a really great feeling whenever I read about him.. He is a feel-good kind of a character.

Tata Michelle no doubt, Aslan ^^

Flora ASLAN 4EVA!!

Nellie lucy and susan. i acually compete in archery

Margarida I like Lucy, who doesn't?!
but she's not the only character that called my atention. Despite of his mistakes, Edmund almost died saving Narnia and I think it's a very dangerous, but brave way to apologize his previous behavior.
And I love Aslan, of course...

Cassondra It's SO hard to choose. The book is so awesome! ALL OF THEM is obviously the answer, but...

I love that Aslan is.
I love Lucy's faith.
I love Edmund's repentance and redemption.
I love Reepicheep's courage.
I love Caspian's leadership/authority.
I love Tumnus's making of hard choices.
I love Peter's care and covering of his siblings.
I love the Beavers' continuous steadfast hope and courage.
I love Susan's intelligence and prudence.

These are awesome stories by an awesome man who saw more of what was real in creation than many authors have. :)

message 65: by Tara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tara My favorite will always be Aslan. His wisdom transcends the pages of "The Chronicles of Narnia".

Tawnya Gebhart-lisnock lucresia wrote: "Lucy & Reepicheep.. and their cousin, whatshisname?"

Eustace

Rachel Jackmccullough wrote: "I think my two favorite characters are Reepicheep, that Mouse of unlimited courage, and Puddleglum."

I love both of them!

Rachel I think Susan gets a bum rap.

Rachel They are all amazing. I can't pick a favorite. I do love Lucy (of course), and Tumnus, and the Beavers, and. . . . What a great series.

Odi deMelian Lucy and Mr Tumnus

message 71: by Emmy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emmy 1. Aslan- he is the center of the books really
2. Lucy - she is just awesome! Her faith in Aslan proved her to be closest to Aslan.
3. Reepicheep - his courage is the stuff of legend,a real height complex!!!!
4. Mr. Tumnus - He braved the Queen so that Lucy could run away
5. Edmund - After he learned his lesson, he became a just and merciful King
6. Caspian - he brought together Narnians and humans alike so that the lived in peace
7. The Beavers - they were the couriers of the four so that they could to Aslan

Mica well, I really like all of them, but I like the most are prince Caspian, Aslan, Susan And Lucy.../:)

Dilara Lucy!

message 74: by Frank (new)

Frank My faves are definitely:

Lucy: I'm obviously a guy, but I was kind of like her growing up.

Eustace: upon re-exposure. Despised him as a kid, but now that I'm older I don't have quite as visceral a reaction to him. Really he may well be the best drawn characters, as he's one of the few that has a fully worked out character arc through the books. The only other character that changes much is Edmund.

Caspian: Prince Caspian may well have been my favorite of all the books growing up, and it was in part because of Caspian's age. In the book he is, I think, ten or eleven, and the idea of a kid not much older than me doing what he did was fascinating and empowering to me.

message 75: by Anne (last edited Nov 28, 2012 12:44PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anne My favorites are Aslan, Reepicheep, and Edmund. I also really liked Eustace and Jill to, but you really can't have a favorite over the series. Every book has different characters so it is really hard to have favorites overall. :D

I agree. Great comment!!! I also think that just like Edmund we grow and change in our realationship with God as he did through the series. We continue to grow and change until we die really. We're never perfect but God still loves in our imperfectness. Which really is a comforting thought.

Victoria Scofield Edmund :)

message 78: by Maryjo (last edited Oct 26, 2014 05:27AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Maryjo Schulte Aslan, of course and Reepicheep, the courageous mouse/monk!

message 79: by Mo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mo King Tirian from the last battle.

message 80: by Vanessa (last edited Oct 26, 2014 07:55AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Vanessa Diggory - he's so conflicted, but does the right thing anyway (which I think shows true goodness and morality - its easy to be good when there is nothing at stake!)
Shasta - again, someone with inner conflicts and who suffers much but who does the right thing and is one of the more admirable people in the series

message 81: by Hans (new)

Hans Alexander Digory or Lucy ... Aslan is an obvious answer who doesnt love him??

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

Aslan stands out. There is no need to actually mention him. Aslan is Aslan and Aslan is on the first place.

Digory Kirke, Polly Plumer, Puddleglumm, Eustace Scrubb, Reepicheep, Jill Pole, Lucy Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, Corin, Aravis, Cor/Shasta.

message 83: by Virginia (new)

Virginia Madrid I like all of them lol The books just grab you and take you into Narnia!

Capricorn Lucy and Prince Caspian

Markiš6252 i love Aslan!!

Savannah Bard Of the choices you gave? Aslan. My personal favorite to read? Eustace Scrubb!

Emma-Cecilia Nyberg As a child I liked Susan the best. I wanted to be just like Susan, so cool and ladylike and gentle yet a warrior. I had a bow I made myself from birch and I used to walk around pretending beeing her even thoug I was slightly too old for games like that. And I guess she is still my favourite.

Susumu Got to be Edmund. He shows the most growth and also embodies the idea of human redemption. For me that makes him the most relatable character in the series.

Alayna Ringsby Eustace! Yes he was a brat but he turned out good.

And Reepicheep is awesome!

Charles Hash Jackmccullough wrote: "I think my two favorite characters are Reepicheep, that Mouse of unlimited courage, and Puddleglum."

Definitely Puddleglum!

Helen Jones Reepicheep!

Lillian It is so difficult to choose a favorite but I love Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy of course. And then Aslan, obviously. I also like Aravis and Caspian. Oh, and Jill and Puddlegum and, well, I love them all, I guess. I must say, though, Susan is not my very favorite. She is slightly irritating.

Michael Lucy

message 94: by Macklin (new)

Macklin Lucy and Reepicheep

Phantomº Aslan and Lucy ♥

Celestial My favorite character would be Edmund. To me he was the most realistic. He made mistakes, and learned from it.

I never liked Peter. He always struck me as arrogant.

Eoraptor Aslan and Rep

Jaxon i liked Prince Caspian.
