Also known as the Waiting Room, this cozy room is open to all. Leather to plush couches and chairs surround a dark wood coffee table, which is set in front of a constantly-lit fireplace. Warm, rich colours of mahogany, red and gold make the Common Room in much better condition than the indoor world of the Asylum. A set of locked doors lead to the interior, and any and all patients are allowed in here, so long as they have a nurse watching them.

RP here.

Penelope laid sprawled on one of the leather sofa's, her mocha waves gently drooping to the floor. Head rested upon her arm-- swathed in long, silk sleeves.

Visible to all, Penelope had decided she needed some time by the warm fireplace and such. Indoors was cold. Penelope hated the cold.

A quick flit of her skittish gaze, and Penelope's blue gaze rested on the boy. His name evaded her, but she recognized him as the one who travelled with the Fainter.

As much as she hated being visible, sometimes the girl enjoyed others. As she was currently in a pleasant mood, this was one of those times.

The girl sat up, hair slowly drooping behind her. "Hi."

She crossed her legs cross-cross applesauce. "Imaginary, but close enough."

Penelope cocked head full of waves to the side. "And you're the Fainter's Assistant?"

A small smile crossed her lips. "That's sweet."

One bruised hand was lifted to brush the brown waves out of her eyes and tuck stray strands behind her ears.

Same hand waved out at the couch, indicating for him to go ahead.

"What do you mean, you guess?"

Penelope nodded. "I guess I understand what you mean. It's gotta be hard."

The girl fell silent, and placed both of her bruised hands 'in the basket'. Flipping her hair out of her face once more, she smiled a small smile at the boy.

She followed his gaze, and pursed her lips with a shrug.

"It's nothing new, and I've seen worse days."

Penelope shrugged again. Dark blue gaze, flickering with the lit fire in the corner, looked down at the floor. "It's what you get when you had my dad."

"Yep. I came here when I was ten. The orphanage sent me here. They called it Schizophrenia."

A slight scoff escaped Penelope's full lips.

"And you've been with her longer, I suppose?"

Penelope whistled, slow and low. "Nust be really hard."

((dinner bbl))

"And I'm assuming she doesn't know? Because it would break her? Be aide she loves you?"

Penelope had always been good at deciphering these sorts of things, but keeping them to herself? Never.

The bruise hands reached up to cover her mouth, and she shook her head. "I'm sorry. It's none of my business."

((real quick, let's make sure we're on the same page with my idea: Zach and Penny develop a relationship of sorts, Elin finds out, jealous and angry rant... ;) Yeah? To accomplish this quickest, I say we fade eventually and then start somewhere else a little bit later after they've been friends for longer.))

Little hands fiddled nervously with the lacy borders of the new dress. Chocolate brown eyes flitted around, and the slim girl hid behind her hair as she looked around. Today there was no nurse. And Hada was painfully, hurtfully, alone.

Sarah wandered absentmindedly into the room, Juno tucked snugly under one arm, a lost expression on her face. She was muttering something impossible to make out, her lips barely parting to make the sounds. She was just clarifying what she was hearing in her head at the moment. The Voices were quiet today, and so as they spoke to her she repeated what they said out loud to make sure she got it right. It was a habit of hers.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Hada shrunk down, long hair covering everything but the scared eyes. The white dress that pooled on the floor around her, the same sicklu color of the paper thin skin. Mama....Mama....

Sarah headed over to the couch and plopped down on one plush cusion, enjoying the softness of the padding underneath her. The night-demons had kept her awake almost all of last night. Maybe she could rest here, just for a minute...

message 21: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 12, 2011 06:33PM) (new)

A small cry erupted from the face swathed in hair, her tiny body tensing.

Sarah's whole body jerked in surprise. She turned her head to train her dark almond eyes on the stranger before her. "What's wrong?" she asked. "What happened?"

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Hada started to trembled, the girl was asking questions now? "Sh'ma Israel, Adonai, Eloheinu...." She choked out, chanting prayers to Yahweh her only comfort as she looked out at the girl from her hair.

Sarah's brow furrowed. She had no idea what the stranger had just said. She shrugged as best she could laying down, then rolled over so that she faced the back of the couch. No strangeness there.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Hada relaxed as the stranger turned away, pushing the hair out of her face and frowning. There were never smiles on the little jewish girl's face. Only expressions of terror and frowns. "He-Hello." The first sentence that she had uttered voluntarily to another since....what had sent her here. She just as quickly tensed again, the response anticipated.

Sarah's eyes closed. "Hi," she murmured tiredly.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm....I'm.....H-Hada." She said, eyes brighter than they had been in a while, her curiosity sparked in a way that it hadn't been in a while.

Sarah curled up, tucking her knees under her chin She did not respond, almost as if she was too tired to form words.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Happy to see the girl's back, Hada almost smiled, but stopped herself in time. She couldn't be happy. She shouldn't be.

((Ummm...where exactly are we going with this?))

Sarah began to drift off. Semi-concious, she let out a soft moan as blazing colors swirled behind her eyelids.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

((Hmm, well maybe Sarah could listen to the Voices and talk/do something that scares Hada?))

Hada jumped at the girl's moan, leaning forward to see if she was alright.

((Works.))

The colors intensified, ending in a blinding flash of white light that made Sarah gives a little yelp of surprise. Disoriented, she rolled over and fell from the couch onto her back. "Ow..."

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Hada, letting her curiosity get the best of her, peered over the edge of the couch, watching the girl with chocolate eyes, eyebrows arched.

For a moment, Sarah's vision blurred. She blinked rapidly up at the face peering down at her. As she she watched, the young girl's face itself blurred and darkened, as did her body, until what Sarah was looking at was the two-demensional, black form of a man. And in his hand he held a long knife, little more than whisps of shadow. And from the blade there dripped a black substance; liquid darkness. Sarah screamed as he raised it, not even forming words. Nothing short of a high, terrified wail ripped from her chest and carried out the door as she lay there, too stunned to move. He was back, the man from the night before. The murderer.

In a good mood, the faint taste of oats and chocolate chips of the gronola bar she had earlier been given by Ethan. She was settled on the couch, Dolly Miss Molly safely placed on her narrow lap. Stomach full, Margot felt free to relax. She snuggled into the leather of the chair with a smile.

Penelope waltzed into the common room like a ghost, her brown waves flying behind her. A small smile was still on her lips, and the bruised, untouched little rosebuds were still red and raw from Zach.

Content with herself, and yet torn on the inside, Penelope acknowledged the younger girl with a nod and settled down on a leather chair.

"Hello," Margot greeted kindly, feeling bold since she had talked with the nerdy Ethan. Well, he thought he was nerdy. Margot found him brilliant. Dolly found him useful.

Dark blue gaze studied the girl, along with the doll on her arms. Penelope smiled; she had been opening up to many more people lately. Could Zach be part of that?

"Hi."

"How are you today?" The words felt flimsy and clumsy in her mouth. Uncomfortable. She wasn't used to being so sweet and open.

"Fairly well, thank you for asking." Still, she sounded too formal, very stiff. She ran one translucent hand through dark brunette hair.

[Heehee, fireweed. Sounds HP-ish. xD]

"Margot," came the reply, along with a firm handshake. "Abd this is Dolly Miss Molly, but she says she wants you to call her Dolly, like everyone else." Margot assisted Dolly with her hand, and offered it to Penelope.

"I'm more of a high-security patient," Margot reasoned with a dainty shrug, glancing at Dolly with a perplexed expression. Dolly Miss Molly was rarely wrong.

Domonic lay sprawled along the soft leather couch, half-absorbed in a book he had gotten from the library. In truth, he barely knew what he was reading about, only that he needed to somehow pass the time until Cadenza would need him. Not before or after, because she had a special scheduler he couldn't ruin.

The front-- not the back-- door was unlocked, and Yvette came inside surrounded by the hardly seen light of day. Shut as quickly as possible, th girl locked the door behind her and stuffed her keys back into her pocket.

Wearing a simple set of jeans and a white t-shirt, the green ribbons hung down from their spot in her hair to lay across her chest. Yvette smiled at Domonic and took a seat across from him.
