Greg | 108 comments I added Forbidden Mad, which is an alternate title (and therefore presumably cover) of Dupe: Loo. They are both publications associated with Mad comic and were published at the same time so I treated Forbidden Mad as an alternate cover version of Dupe: Loo. They should I think be considered editions of the same work but I was unable to combine them. Any suggestions as to the best way to associate them?

Lobstergirl They need to have the same author in order to be combined. Are they the exact same book, except different editions/titles?

message 3: by Greg (new)

Greg | 108 comments Ah yes. That's why they won't combine. The assigned authorship for Dupe: Loo is the publisher (Dell Publishing) and Mad (for the magazine) while that for Forbidden Mad is Albert B. Feldstein. Maybe Dupe: Loo was a temporary title or something?

Lobstergirl Okay. The worldcat record for the ISBN of Dupe: Loo shows that it is "Forbidden Mad" by Arthur B. Feldstein. So you created a record that isn't necessary, and thus combining the two won't be necessary (unless someone other than you shelved the edition you created). All you have to do is edit the record with the ISBN with all the correct details, then delete the edition you created.

Greg | 108 comments That's odd. I thought I'd found an entry for Dupe: Loo on WorldCat. Oh well. I'll make the necessary changes as you suggest, Lobstergirl. Thanks for the advice! :)
