Aimee (peculiarway) | 1 comments Yep, it WAS those books from the Sweet Valley Twins. I don't know why I didn't think of it being one of those books, I read them like crazy back in the day. Thanks, everyone!

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 256 comments This sounds an awful lot like "If I Die Before I Wake (Sweet Valley Twins #100)".. It's been a while.. but I remember the second or third floor (the house was really big I remember) was where the kids slept. They had babysitter twins who before they could enter the bedroom had to do a dance/ritual to "keep the bad" things out. It's kind of a middle schooler book though? It gives me shivers though.. the thought of a dead little girl coming into their dreams every night when they're asleep and they're trapped unless someone wakes them up..

Elle | 62 comments I agree. I was thinking of 'The Beast is Watching You' which is one of the lead-up ones to #100.

The Beast is Watching You (Sweet Valley Twins, #98) by Francine Pascal

"On a hill on the outskirts of Sweet Valley sits a beautiful old Victorian house. It stood empty until a few weeks ago, when a new family moved in...the perfect clients for Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield's baby-sitting service.... Identical twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield and their friends from Sweet Valley Middle School thought they'd landed their dream job when they started babysitting for the Riccoli kids. But little by little, their dream job is turning into a nightmare. Andrew Riccoli dreams that someone tried to set fire to his room--and wakes up in a cloud of smoke. Then Gretchen Riccoli dreams she's falling--and wakes up at the bottom of the mansion's dark, winding staircase. The babysitters are getting scared...too scared to close their eyes in the Riccoli mansion."

Aimee, is this the book you were thinking of? I was going to shelve the book if it is.
