Wendy do you like the BDB group? I was thinking of joining.

I loved the BDB group when I first started. I was most active in that group. But as I stayed in there I started to become overwhelmed by the negative and the bickering. It was kind of like how it used to be in the OUtlander group and I was getting frustrated. I understand that not everyone is going to like the same thing, but it kind of started to feel like the people who DID like something were getting constantly barraged by who they were wrong and why it really did just suck. For instance, Butch and V, if they had hooked up then I would have thought it was great. I read the fanfic True and I thought it was good. BUT I never thought that Ward ruined V by putting him with Jane instead of Butch. I never thought Ward was copping out or whatever. I liked V and Jane, and I liked Marissa and Butch. And I like V and Butches friendship. I thought it was a great twist that V had feelings for Butch, but I thought it was also nice that they never went there and decided to just stay best friends. Especially with the introduction of Blay and Qhuinn. So we'd get in these conversations and all of the sudden I was the only one saying I liked it and everyone else was saying how wrong I was. It was very frustrating and I was just so angry any time I went in there. (They were so focused on the inconsistencies or the disappointemnts that it was bringing ME down and I love this series!)
So I quit. I figured I could talk to others in other groups and not get all the grief.
Although I do miss it. I got a lot of good tidbits over there and I had fun talking to them. I just didn't like always feeling like I was constantly defending myself.
It's funny because that BDB group was started because on the JR Ward Messageboards she's really strict on not allowing negative thoughts. If you said something the administrators thought was negative they'd boot you out. So they wanted a place to talk freely, but now it's like it's ONLY negative.Or at least thats how I started to feel. I know that others still love it.
I guess I just love to talk about what I LOVE and not what I hate.
I remember I actually got into my only goodreads fight in that group. It was because people were saying that Qhuinn wasn't a male of worth. I mean... I really got angry. THats when I knew I had to go, lmao. I was being sucked into the constantly battles.
Grrrrrrr!! Yeah that would have made me man (about the Qhuinn comment) I don't like that crap at all. Well I can always chat with you about it :) I just wanted to see who people thought could play the brothers in a movie. I can't really picture Wrath, it's the hair...Oops... took over the Psycops group read thread with our BDB love. haha!
Yeah, it was no fun. And it got worse when I dared to mention that if Z is worthy why wouldn't Qhuinn be. They both acted out from low self-worth. They both were victims of their history... they didn't like me comparing horrible Q with precious Z. (I love Z too, I just see them as similar.)They do have a few really great threads for pictures of the BDB. Jessa posts a lot of them in there like she does our male form thread. There are some great ones.
The hair is hard to do with Wrath, but I still see Momoa. He just needs a flat iron.
We totally did confiscate the thread. We could move this to BDB, haha.
Okay, let's move over there - sorry ladies!!I can't picture Momoa with a flat Iron, ROLTFL!!
I might go check out that group since i'm being a lazy slug today. haha!
I'm done with Secrets!! I loved it! I love how much Vic & Jacob's relationship has progressed since book one.
Regina, for your interview. Will you ask how many more books she has planned for the future? And how many books will be released each year if there are more planned.
Definitely! I already submitted questions to her but I will try to nail her down when she sends the answers back tome. I asked her what she has planned for the series and when we can expect a new book. I know she is working on one now. She has so many projects in the works.
Ok. Sweet! I hope she plans on many more. I'm not sure when I'll start Camp Hell. I want to savor these books since there are only 2 more left.
I think you should Kay. That was my plan too. But on our blog, I have been doing a review of her book every week and then we are going to do a giveaway leading up to the interview, so I have no choice. But, at least I am enjoying the read!
Oh, sounds like fun! Please link us the interview when you are done! I also love how I can picture the cannery now from that drawing.
I know, me too! I think she is an incredibly generous and cool author to give us that stuff. I will definitely link it. Carolyn Crane is finalizing her answers to an interview I submitted to her, I cannot wait for her answers. She is such a cool sweet person.
oh I didn't know you were interviewing her too. Def let me know when that is posted as well! Did you ask her about Gumby? <---I really liked how she used that!!
I'd like to know, why Gumby? and did she know from the beginning of The Disillusionists that Gumby would play such a big role in Head Rush?

I just spent 5 minutes going through this thread looking for this question, lol. I just read a sex scene in Camp Hell and it has me wondering too. Vic never seems to "do" Jacob .... I wonder if this will change and what it says about their relationship? Or did I miss a scene?
And by the way, looking back at this thread -- we had some fun chatting!
So I am directly in the middle of Camp Hell. I thought Secrets was my favorite, but this one is by far my favorite. It is so good.
I can't wait to read it!! Maybe soon :)**Warning this is going to get graphic**
I have to agree when it comes to full on sex, Jacob seems to be the agressor. In Secrets, Vic had a scene where he was more forceful and had Jacob on his knees. During that scene, Vic was talking dirty and told Jacob something like...*Graphic*(view spoiler) and Jacob liked the idea. I just thought that's where the relationship would progress.
I haven't read the description of Camp Hell, In my mind I just thought it would be about Vic in the past at Camp Hell. Better go read what it's about :)
We've had a lot of great conversations, i'm so glad you put together this group read Regina - Thank you!
I am so glad everyone has been enjoying this series! And I hate to be too specific - but Leea, I am thinking of one particular act that seems to never be reciprocated - -you know what I mean?
Wendy I am loving Camp Hell because (view spoiler)
For those who haven't read Camp Hell yet, I am liking it so much because we have all the good stuff - -Vic's funny introspection, Jacob in all his glory but we are also learning more about Vic's powers and his past and we learn more about Jacob as a person.
first off, what's the deal with all the arse talk - haha!! What's intersting about how Price writes the love scenes in the PsyCops series is they are all from the guys perspective, so at times it seems crude or rough but that's really how men are (or my husband) during sex. Am I making any sense? I feel like i'm putting my foot in my mouth lately. lol!I'm really excited to read more about Vics abilities, I believe he's more powerful then he lets on. Now that he's not taking so many meds to hold off his powers and keep the ghosts aways. That's a storyline i'm very interested in reading about.
**Jacob in all his glory** Awesome!!
LMAO!!!!! (seriously no pun intended there) but yeah, men are crude about stuff like that. And there is a scene in Camp Hell, Wendy remember (view spoiler) Which depicted exactly how crude men are! They are perfectly matched to be together. :)Vic has clearly hidden his powers. I think he is more powerful than that Marie lady who is always referred to.
Yes -- lol, Jacob in all his glory!
Vic has definitely downplayed his powers through the series. I think his power levels are higher then anything they've seen before. And Regina, I loved Camp Hell! Jacob really gets 3 dimensional in that one. And from Secrets and on you can really just FEEL the love he has for Vic. It was so tender and enviable.
I think the only reason that their sex life seems to be so one sided is because Vic feels like a douche when he takes the aggressor role. I know in one book he does do it, I can't remember which, so I think he's just slowly warming up to it. He's not quite as forward as Jacob is. I think it's awesome, because it reminds me of how most relationships are.
I loved how (view spoiler).
It was at then end of Secrets that Vic is more of the agressor. haha!Dang it, i'm going to start Camp Hell. This group read for the Outlander group is just not grabbing me right now.
Yes about Jacob and feeling the love. I also loved that (re the spoiler) part -- and how excited Jacob was!
Wendy I think I marked about 20 passes on my ride home from work. LOL -- I loved the "reading-bee" phrase. And the stuff he bought for the exorcism -- LMAO!!!!I think I know who the (view spoiler) is and I am super sad about it.
Bleh, we have only one car -- we live in an area we dont need two and I take the train to work. So my husband got in an accident on the way to taking Sebastian my 2nd grader to religion class. It was his fault. Nobody was hurt but our car was totalled. We should have a rental by tomorrow afternoon, but such a huge pain and we have a large deductible ( on purpose, but still). So much shit to take care of. I was in the hallway and leaving work when he called and I had to go back in and call the insurance company and take care of everything. My husband is awesome, I love him - -but tonight I felt like Jacob. The one who has to manage everything. Sorry -- I am not really complaining about my husband, just life happens. And my husband feels horrible (plus he thought he was a rockstar driver so it hurts his ego too)
LOL, he thought he was a rockstar driver... I know a man lke that too. I'm sorry, Regina. That is so frustrating and stressful. I hope it all works out quickly.Who do you think (view spoiler)?
I am worried that the (view spoiler) But if it is him, I do understand why it went down that way. Thanks Wendy, I appreciate it. :)
And she doesn't have to deal with a publishing company either. So I am hoping like you we get it within 6 months. That is completely made up though.

I'm so happy your husband and son are okay - that's all that really matters :) I understand what you mean about more work, I hope the insurance is quick and painless.
Seriously you two are killing me with the spoilers for Camp Hell - Grrrrr!! I was so busy cleaning and organizing the house I didn't get a chance to sit today let alone read. Now i'm just cranky!! Haha!
Okay, already Camp Hell is cracking me up... Hello Vic and Jacob in the kitchen with the margarine? This is going to get graphic but I can't help it haha! I'm going to Spoiler tag this - warning, M/M sex talk...(view spoiler)
Hahaha!! I will never look at margarine the same way, ever again. Okay, I know Vic likes it rough but I cringed when he describes (view spoiler)Sorry, i'm getting kind of graphic.
