Exactly! Harry and Hermione MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT have worked, but J.K. was dropping hints about Ron and Hermione the whole series.

But Ginny was underdeveloped as well. Can we hate on her because of that?

Lol the "chest monster" thing was so cheesy. Anyway the whole Ginny/Harry romance I admit was a bit sudden, but I was okay with it. I think what J.K Rowling was trying to do was create a link between Ron and Harry. Yes, they were friends, but I guess they were kind of like brothers to Rowling. So she decided to make them real brothers. Plus for romances nobody really does the whole, shy younger girl who actually gets to end up with the guy. Though I don't dislike Ginny and Harry together I always wanted Harry to be with Hermione. Definitely not Cho though. I mean she was okay in the movie, but in the book she was so girly, overly emotional, and jealous.

I honestly will never understand how people think that Cho was overemotional.
And how on earth was she too girly?

I have never been a big fan of Ginny, and seeing them together in the movies especially bothers me. I just don't see it. I never felt any chemistry between them. It felt forced to me. I could never picture Harry with anybody - kind of like Dumbledore - except, you know, not gay...just busy. Well, maybe gay. :)

I know what you mean. Harry, Ron and Hermoine are complete. Harry is kind of like a Jesus character in that his mission was too big for him to have a romance. I totally agree with the "not gay, just busy" assessment.

and plus, by the end of the series, they were all related to each other, Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny. I felt that was just a tad cheesy. I wish Harry ended up with Luna or someone else, even someone who was mentioned in the series. I felt like J.K. had to add in a romance for Harry because its sort of sad if the main character ends up alone.

I actually found Harry's crush on Cho really cute in GOF, and thought their was possible potential for them in the future.
Then Cedric died, and the whole downfall of the relationship was inevitable. Cho and Harry were both effected too much by those events to really ever have a chance. It was a case of bad timing and something that Could Have Happened but Never Did. ;)

Ginny became so Mary Sue suddenly and I hated her behaviour towards Fluer (what was her problem with Fluer?), it wa..."
It was because Fleur had a slightly obnoxious attitude that grated on Ginny and her mother's nerves. Even Hermione didn't really care for her. It wasn't until they realized how much she truly cared for Bill that they saw the good in her.

I wished Harry would've ended up with Hermione though, but then that would leave Ron the odd man out.

I always felt that the writer for the movies was a Harry/Hermione shipper, it even felt as if Hermione was Harrys bestfriend in the movies instead of Ron.
But back to the subject, I absolutly love Ginny!
Yes, she did idolize Harry, but look at it from your perpective. If you were being told stories about some hero every night before you went to sleep wouldnt you develop a crush or even idolize that person? Especially if they were close to your age group?
And then one day this boy just happens to become bestfriends with your brother. And not only that, but he then SAVES YOUR LIFE. So its only natural that Ginny would be really shy in front of Harry.
But she got over that, she dated other boys... She showed us and Harry that she was incredibaly talented with sports and such. Some people say that she isnt well developed, but we all have to remember that were seeing everything from Harrys perspective. So the reason some people say that Ginny is a little undeveloped is because we, with Harry, are just noticing her.

I really hate the movie version on the romance, was so uncomfortable to look at. I fell that in the movies they should do a little bit more to show them as a couple, they even deleted a small, but nice scene of them.

I always felt that the writer for the movies ..."
I have to agree with you about the movie writers being Harry/Hermione shippers. They basically down graded Ron into the buttmonkey, giving hermione and Harry ALL of his intelligent or funny lines, making him look like an idiot. There were far more parts where Harry and Hermione interacted as best friends than there were Ron and Harry. Over all the writers did a great disservice to Ron and Ginny in the movies.

I think that - and I love everything Jo did - that Ginny should not have ended up with Harry. I saw Harry with Cho, believe it or not. Luna was Neville's girl, in my eyes.
I just think that Ginny had this horrible hero complex and I don't think she ever grew out of it.
Not only did I hate Ginny in the books, but she was horribly portrayed in the films. I thought maybe a good actress would have lifted at least some of my hate, but no. Bonnie is an awkward actress. Every scenee she was in was made awkward by her awkwardness. That one where she ties Harry's shoelace in HBP - so awkward it's unbelievable.
