Cynthia KellerI just started reading this book, I love books regarding the amish people. I hope this book is good.

I know it's been the subject of lots of hype, but it is very good.

I started Black Hills for a buddy read, but I may read snippets of 24 Hours, if I need a break from the chickiness.

I love reading via the Kindle app on my iPad - I have just read A Guest at the Feast.
I'm 36 pages into
. I'm not really able to focus on anything else I'm reading right now. It's slow but not in a bad way, I think it's because the book is by an author I've never read.
I going to start reading The Real Elizabeth tonight. I won this giveaway on first reads. I figured since I have to read and review it for that, I may as well consider it for my Around the World Challenge.

Glad I'm not the only one then. Your husband is clearly quite discerning.
Have started Five Quarters of the Orange for my in-person book club. Was in a slump so hopefully this one will pull me out...

I've never seen it. But I'm not a big movie girl.

What?! It's a classic 80's action movie. Typical Arnie quips and cheesey one-liners. You should check it out. I love 80s action movies.
Phillip wrote: "Braaaaainnnns. I'm finally reading the Hunger Games. Loving it although I don't get why there aren't more comparisons to Running man (starring big Arnie)..."I made the same connection when I read it. Stephen King also commented on it in his review of The Hunger Games, and since he wrote The Running Man, it would have been obvious to him.

Stephen King obviously liked it too. There's a quote by him on the back cover. Do you have the link to his whole review by any chance, Janice?
I'm reading
and really enjoying it. I'm kind of surprised by that. It's supposed to be my February read since diamond is my birthdate. I abandoned my January read (birth month) April Shadows because I was just bored and life is too short to be bored with a book.

Im currently reading two books: the other boleyn girl by Philippa Gregory and The success principles by Jack Canfield
I'm reading
because I picked it up at the thrift store. I just started 2 other books but gave them both up about 50 or so pages in cuz they weren't grabbing me. Luckily those other 2 were just library books so no harm done, right? I am very much enjoying my current title.
I'm reading
, the last book in
series. I started reading it to have something to recommend to my middle school readers but it has sucked me in and I love it.

Loving it! But please, please keep in mind this is Historical FICTION. One reviewer said reading this book ruined Alice in Wonderland for her. I can understand now that I'm about 1/2 way through...
So I'm feeling a little burnt out right now in terms of reading so I keep starting books then putting them down . I'm 4% into
, I'm starting
, I have to get started on a few others. Right now I'm trying to read a lot of my NetGalley ARCS most of the are Juvenile fiction and YA books so they're quick reads so I mostly just read them and post about them after :)
I will be starting
also : ) sometime this evening...It is really cold and so cuddling up with a book and getting warm sounds awesome right now.

...Did you get that from first reads? It looks like Anne Rice is back to her paranormal genre. I may have to read this for my Feb 2012 release choice.
I got it from NetGalley. I've never read any of her books but I've had most of them on my bookcases for years. Apparently this is a departure from her other stuff. Since its set during present day and it has a wearwolf I believe. Its pretty good though :)
I have a couple of those ones I think....maybe I should make it a point to try her other series this year.

I've had a copy of
Birdsong: A Novel Of Love And War on my bookshelf for about three years and never read it. Bad Kat!
The TV adaptation begins on Sunday night on the BBC and I'll be watching that.

I'm reading 'Operation Downfall' by Daniel McNeet (http://www.danielmcneet.com) right now. It's a political thriller along the same lines as a James Patterson or Dan Brown novel, and it's great so far. I love the 'corruption in the USA' storyline.Has anyone else read it?

Am so looking forward to it Kat.
I am reading Operation Mincemeat - The True Spy Story that changed the course of WW2It is not a book I would usually read, my boyfriend and brother read it months ago but I didn't fancy it thinking it would be too 'boyish' but, I am really really enjoying it - I had no idea that this happened, I have only ever really been interested in the home front of WW2, not the fighting and action etc. This book is fascinating!

I loved Anne of Green Gables and the other 6 books when I was in my early teens. I bought copies of all of them last year, and one day I'll go back and read them again!

That's a wonderful book I've read it 3 times though not seen I became a teenager. Being a Canadian my classmates and I had it as assigned reading very often. I like your review Dem, it makes me want to re-read it and the rest of the series.
