Louise (ruby-skylark) | 34 comments Sorry to keep asking for help but I just can't seem to find what I really want to read these days ..

...so if anyone can help me find romance novels with short dark-haired blue-eyed beta!heroes, that would be super awesome? If they happen to have a protective heroine, I will love you forver!!!

I know I'm asking for a miracle but that's what I'm craving right now *sigh* I'm a sucker for a reverse romance with a vulnerable hero-type and a heroine who gets her man :)

If it has any kind of hurt/comfort for the male character, even better! Especially the smaller Harlequin/Mills & Boon type, but don't limit your recs to just those.

Any genre or time period. No werewolves, vampires, kink/bondage, or rape please.

Fandom examples of the type of thing I'm looking for...
Firefly :: Zoe & Wash
Doctor Who :: Amy & Rory, River & The Doctor
The X-Files :: Scully & Mulder

Regina (reginar) If you enjoy romantic suspense and are okay with picking up in the middle of the series Into the Storm (Troubleshooters, #10) by Suzanne Brockmann is your book. I can't remember if the hero has blue eyes. But it has everything else you describe. The baddie in this one (Romantic suspense always has a baddie) is a serial killer who kidnaps women, so not sure if that would turn you off.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here are some Historicals with what I think you are trying to find to read:

Once in Every Life by Kristin Hannah Simple Jess by Pamela Morsi The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale

Louise (ruby-skylark) | 34 comments If anyone knows of any books with female law-enforcement protecting male characters, that would work for me too? *is hopeful*
