Nic I read this book when I was a kid, and I'd love to continue the series if I can find it. The main character was a young mouse, who I believe was trapped in a sewer with rats. A wolf saves him, and takes him on a quest (along with a couple other animal characters) to defeat an evil panther character.

Any ideas?

Nic, are you still looking for this book?

message 3: by Nic (new)

Nic Yes, I am :)

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Nic, when did you read this book? Was it a picture book or chapter book?

Anything about the cover?

message 5: by Nic (new)

Nic I think I read it around 1997-98-ish. I seem to remember a blue cover with a wolf head on the front, maybe with some other animals around him, I can't recall.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments The Winter Diary of a Country Rat or The Midsummer Notebook of a Country Rat by the same author?

Here is a pic (the cover is different from what you described, however)

Nic, still looking? Was it anything mentioned above?

message 9: by Nic (new)

Nic Not actively looking, though I'd still like to find it if possible. Nothing above fits, unfortunately. (Though now I have book reqs, thank you!)

Levia | 34 comments this is a long shot, but could it be a book in the Redwall series?

message 11: by Nic (new)

Nic Nope, read all of the Redwall series at one point or another. Thank you though!

Michele | 2488 comments Was it a picture book or a chapter book? When you say you read it as a kid do you mean age 6, age 11, age 16? What year did you read it? Any recollection of whether it was new at the time or older?
