The geek in me just gave a little happy sigh :-) Thanks Gisela!
She means and average, Catherine. Now our average has gone down a bit because we have 55 people participating in this challenge instead of 47.The Math:
3,396 divided by 55 people = 61.74
Or an average of 62 books read per person since January.
Catherine wrote: "86 book? for June? I'm confused. :("We read 86 books last week. For us to meet our goal we would have to read 96 books a week. So far on average we've been reading 137. While this was our slowest week we are still ontrack because of all those weeks we read an above average amount of books.
Wow!!! That's a lot of books read. Thanks for doing the math and sharing the figures Gisela!!! It is fun to see what the group has done ☺ I think the goal is going to be met!!!
This week we read 122 books. We were busy reading in June. We read 580 books and we are 69.8% along on our challenge. At this rate we'll probably finish our challenge in September.
Woohoo! And here I thought for me June was a slow reading month. Glad we've got so many members to pick up the slack :-)

That is some serious reading! How are you able to read so many books each month?
Robin wrote: "☺ I know I slacked off quite a bit in May, picked up a little in June and picking up more this month lol Keep your fingers crossed because I am hoping to get back to my "norm" of about 35-40 books a month ☺..."PLOP!
*falls over backwards in amazement*
IDK how I read that many in a month but that is my norm LOL Maybe because I read everything from children's to adults and I read a few novellas here and there. Since January when I got involved in challenges my reading is pretty much based on what my challenges are calling for. So the more challenges I am in, the more reading I do ☺ Right now, for this year, my average is sitting at 27.5 books a month :) because I fell behind in May and June. But I am catching up this month. It's also probably because I am not working right now and havr lots of free time.

Was waiting for this before goig to bed! ;) So for those interested:Last week we read 124 books and are 72% done. We could reach the 75% mark next week but to do so we would have to read 133 this week. What do you think? Can our group read 133 books this week?
Woo hoo! We're doing great.I'm betting we can come close to reading 133 books in the next week. I'm going to be shifting to audiobooks so I can read and pack at the same time. Less than 2 weeks to moving day and I have a ton to pack!
CaroB wrote: "Oh Lara, I'll be thinking of you, I'm still unpacking boxes and we've already been here a month!"I'm taking off work the day before and after the move to help with that. Unfortunately, I'll have to buy some furniture before completing my unpacking. Especially because we aren't taking the book shelves on the wall or all of the book cases. At least I'll have more of my books in one place. I'm just not sure they'll all fit!
I feel for you Lara & CaroB! I have almost all my house packed in boxes. It was a rush job, so nothings labeled! Eep! I don't know where half my stuff is and my books are in large black bags! I do have a few I set aside for upcoming "buddy reads" - but NOT all! I thought I'd be happily sorting my books by now... but then I had that kitchen disaster.
Lisa Kay, you poor thing to have your life so disrupted! Let me know if there are any books you need.
Thanks, CaroB! A move is one thing, but an emergency move is a disaster! Anyway, my upstairs bathroom will be finished tomorrow, they promised. Had the added expense of a new toilet b/c they found the old one was cracked at the base. **sigh** This is all getting very expensive. I told them they had to leave me enough for new carpet.
Eek! No labels on the boxes, cracked toilets! We are racking up expenses by trying to fix as much as possible right off, but it is getting pretty high. I really sympathize LK.
