I just started Ready Player One today. I got caught up in other things, but I'm two chapters in and it seems like it is my kind of book. Looking forward to reading it!

Andy | 134 comments I finished the book and loved it. A pacey, retro sci-fi novel for those who were in their teens in the late 70s or 80s.

For me there were some great name checks: Rush, Monty Python, Sinclair computers, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Star Wars, Tron and lots table top pub video games. The film is going to be truly amazing... if Warner Bros can afford to buy all the various rights!

I saw Rush live on the Permanent Waves/Hemispheres tour in the UK in about 1980 and they were my all time favourite band until Signals...
